Thats what I get asked at least a half dozen times a week about my e-cig/vaporizer - usually when I am carrying my VTR. Is it a camera, is it a phone, is it a radio...

vaping is completely new in my area...yea, we are 15 years behind society here in Central VA.

Its been a great conversation starter and I have met some wonderful people I never would have other wise.


Do many of you get people just coming up to you out of the blue asking about your e-cig set up?

I don't get that, probably because I'm always on the move when I'm vaping in public. Or because it's Boston.

Had one last night, sorta. Went to my weekly fencing practice, and a new curious friend of one of the other new people was just lighting up a cigarette as we pulled up. And it was freeking cold. I told her "At least you won't have to be cold and alone." and we introduced ourselves. Wind was killing her lighter, and I opened my coat to block for her while reaching for my PV (I freeking love my lanyard)

"Ooh, what's that?"

So I told her a little about it. She'd encountered e-cigs, but had never seen one that wasn't a cig-a-like. Even I admit, an EVOD on a eGo 900mah is incredibly cool looking.

So I vaped while she had her smoke, we talked about fencing, her boyfiend and all his friends fighting in armour, the absolute stupid fun of fighting without getting hurt.

I'm never going to be that guy that tells people to quit smoking. I believe in personal choice, and the responsibility and consequences of that choice, but I did tell her that moving to vapor got me to quit instantly, and I've found a great community of fellow people who understand the pain, and have a common alternative that really borders on a hobby where we can give and draw support, and have fun babbling about mods and customs and DIY Maple Bacon and Strawberry Waffle flavors...

It happens to me all the time since I work in a bar. It's always one of two questions: What flavor you smoking/vaping? Or What's ohms are you running that thing at?
