What is the best and healthiest way to clean an ejuice tank?

I'm sure others experience the problem when they want to remove all traces of a strong ejuice flavor from their tank, and refill it with a different flavor. What is the safest and most effective way to clean a small ejuice tank? Somehow I bet rubbing alcohol is not a good idea as it cannot be removed easily from some tanks. I thought about using vodka, but rather drink it and not waste it on my tank cleaning activities ;-) Any ideas?

I use Everclear after rinsing with warm water, soak for a few hours and let air dry over night. Coils can be difficult to remove the taste from, one of the reasons I switched to rebuildables.

I use a mild dish soap dilute, rinse well, then let them sit in water over night on top of my modem (nice and warm). Soaking in vodka or such works but I found just water after a good cleaning is sufficient (and much less wasteful of perfectly good vodka).

I use vodka (very cheap vodka), other use everclear as mentioned, some soak in vinegar. I had a horrible watermelon that the taste never came out of but that wasn't a glass tank. Any of the above should do it but Randy is right, coils are a different matter. Sometimes you can vape through it or change the wicks. Honestly, some of those are worse than getting hit by a skunk.

Warm water, works well for me as I like to use very mild flovors, glass tanks clean beter than plastic tanks, coils can be cleaned and reused if done corectly and give the user about a week or so more use.

Take it completely apart and let it soak in warm water for a while, swish it around in the water you'll see the gunk come off in no time, haven't tried soap or vodka I'd fear somehow ruining a tank

I start by rinsing the tank and atomizer head in warm tap water. Give it a sniff. If it doesn't smell clean I soak it in everclear or Isopropyl 91% alcohol over night, rinse with warm tap water. Clean and dry burn the atty head.

I dont put anything in an atomizer that I wont drink.... YOU DON'T WANT TO VAPE ISOPROPYL AND YOU CERTAINLY WOULDN'T DRINK IT. Dont put anything in your lungs
you wont put on your stomach.

Which means soap and cheap alcohol are out.


Going on the premise that good booze aint cheap and cheap booze aint good, I use a good filtered vodka to clean and flavor appropriate good stuff to cut thick juices.


Life is too short for cheap booze.

Water. Just water for tanks. You may want to rinse them with distilled water, but I usually skip this part.
As for coils... Best of all do not wash a coil at all but save it for the same juice for later. If you have to wash it, then again water and/or vodka.
