For starter e_cig for under $100 for the starter kit - Go for the 510, or get a screwdriver, or even a DSE905. I'd always recommend getting something with a longer life battery. If you went for a 905 you just charge up the batt, stick it in and you're all set for the day :) With a standard 510, your set up for a couple of hours, then you have to change batt. It all gets miserable having to carry a whole bunch of batts around. Then again, you can get mega battery for the 510, so just charge up a couple of those bad boys and away you go.

The bad thing about big batt ecigs is they are a total pain to carry around. With a 510 it can just sit in your top pocket and you can take a crafty drag off it when you like. With a big batt model they are a bit too big to sit in your top pocket.

Alternatively, you could just go for a 901 - still pretty good, spares are cheap, attys last a long time, flavour is good with them, vapour production is good enough. And if you decide to upgrade absolutely all the big batt mods come for 901 type attys, so you won't be throwing anything away, or having to buy extra convertors etc.

Hope this helps :)

i just bought the no box 510 from cignot...hope it doesn't take too long to get here...

I think you'll be happy with that. I absolutely promise you that the "I want it to look as close to a regular cigarette as possible" thing will pass pretty quickly. Also, even though you think the battery life will be ok, it probably won't and you'll want a personal charging case or you'll end up with eGo batteries eventually. The good thing is that all your carts, atomizers and cartomizers if you go that route will work with the eGo.

Good luck and happy vaping.

I might add to this as a 901 user that also uses the 510 and kr808 models on occasion, if you're interested in good flavor production the 901 has the rest beat hands down. Once you get to a battery that delivers a true 3.7 volts or more the vapor production is pretty much about the same between the three.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with this. As a smoker, I want to feel like I have a cigarette in my mouth. Not a fountain pen or a flashlight. I recently saw a demo of the Aqua Vapor STORM. I laughed out loud. The guy looked like he was sticking Obi Wan Kenobe's lightsaber in his mouth.

"If you only knew the DARK SIDE of vaping!"

Did you start using electronic cigarettes in May?

It took me about four months to go bigger and better.
And now I use those Chucks (on the left) almost exclusively.

Ok well I just received my Joye510 in the mail and I must say I'm excited about kicking analogs..I only got 5 carts that came with my order..what do I purchase next for the cheapest vaping experience????

Now that you have the 510 you can always covert it to the Ego by buying the Ego battery and cone. That is my plan after vaping the 510 for two weeks. The 510 is an excellent vape, but you end up having to have a PCC when you go out to keep the batteries charged.

You can use the same atomizers with either or buy the extended attys for the Ego. You will also want the Ego battery charger with a higher MAH rate so that they charge more quickly. You are on the right track.

Ss there anything that hits with decent vapor & decent battery life that mimics a cigarette? Would a "Blu" be in that category?

Like I said, I smoke Parliament lights...so I don't want anything like smoking Marlboro Reds, they taste like crap to me and kind of disgust me - which obviously depends on flavour you purchase I guess.
The KR808 does. You can buy one at Vapor4Life-Because it's your life - E-Cigarettes/Smoking Alternatives or get one for an excellent price at Analog Alternative, The Smoking Alternative I have pretty much tried everything out there in the year and a half since I started vaping. I currently use an EGO with a cartomizer, BUT I still want to find the Holy Grail: an e cig that looks like the real thing but performs like the EGO. I haven't found that yet, but the KR808 is the closest thing currently available. Everyone will tell you that so far none of them taste like real cigarettes. You will quickly acquire a taste for them though. My favorite flavors are the coffee flavors, but if I could find an excellent rum that would be my choice. Janty's rum is the best, but it is too pricey for me.

Because you mentioned Camel Lights in an earlier question, and cheapest in this one, I'm gonna throw out a suggestion. Once you have a decent device (and I would certainly consider the 510 a very good starter, it's what got me off analogs entirely), then it's all about the juice.

As I was a Camel Lights smoker myself, I found the Turkish Tobacco flavor from StrictlyEjuice.com, Flavor Shop! to be an excellent "simulation" of the Camel flavor. They are among the cheapest juice suppliers with free shipping to boot. Now mind you it tastes more like a freshly opened pack smells, than it does the burning paper and tobacco, but all in all it was so close to what I was used to, that quitting a 35 year habit literally took hours. (Do yourself a favor and pick up a couple of the sampler size bottles as well, and pick something totally different from Tobacco, you might be pleasantly surprised!)

Best of luck in your journey to being smoke free.

VAPE ON!!!
