What is the best eliquid flavor for ex-cigarette-smoker?

I have never tried an unflavored nic base. But I tried many flavors and prefer fruity types over dessert or tobacco flavors. Everyone is different tho... I was a menthol smoker and mix some type of minty or menthol burst type flavor with everything which adds to the throat hit similar to a menthol analog

Arguably more important would be the nicotine level. I was about a pack a day smoker when I quit and I found that both 16 and 24 mg was way too high for me and would make my throat itchy. 8 or 6mg seems to be good for me and it calmed the cig cravings well.

As an ex-heavy-cigarette smoker I prefer e-juice with tobacco flavor over any other kind - how about you?
What kind of e-juice did you vape after dropping cigarettes?
E-liquid flavorings come primarily from food flavorings. Since there are no foods that taste like burnt cigarette tobacco, chances are slim that you'll find something that tastes like a cigarette.

Some people are able to find something close that meets their satisfaction, however you may need to sample literally dozens of tobacco flavors to find it. An interesting fact is, once you have stopped smoking and are only vaping for a period of time (after your taste buds heal), you'll probably discover that you DON'T LIKE the taste of tobacco.

Myself, I was a Marlboro Lite smoker, so I started out with a menthol flavor: Smokeless Image's Volt Ice Menthol. Since then, I've also enjoyed NicQuid's Smooththal.

I primarily vape fruity flavors now.

Plain and simple. Unflavored nic base.

This is from several people on here, as well as my father and mother. Also, 2 of my dad's friends I make the unflavored for. Unflavored nic base is immediately said to resemble a marlboro light by everyone that has tried it.

That's what I settled on...unflavored.

I was a 40 year chain smoker. At first I was using typical cheap tobacco flavors. At about 2-3 months, when my sense of taste and smell started coming back, everything began to taste awful...and I mean everything. I tried, I really tried, ordered over 50 different tobacco flavors from 7-8 vendors. The best I could come up with was a cherry cigar flavor that kept me going for a few months. I finally tried some unflavored, and that was the closest thing to what I vaguely remember smoking to taste like. I've been "flavor free" for over 18 months. Oh, and BTW, it's incredibly cheap.

Desert Ship aka Camel is a good ashtray-ish tobacco without any obvious nut or fruitiness. Marlboro, USA Red, MBoro, Cowboy, etc - a bit weaker than Desert Ship - more light cigalike. (USA Red Light isn't a lite cig, it's a menthol, so watch the descriptions)
Mild Blend aka Mild 7 - as a background to menthol, and helps give the above two more body

I bought my vaporizer a month ago, completely gave up analogs 16 days ago. I was a pack a day smoker for 16 years and when I went into my local vape shop I thought I was gonna "need" Newport flavored juices...to my surprise, I liked the fruity flavors. My 1st set of juices were Jolly Rancher and Icy Menthol (yes, I still enjoyed the menthol). Now I've moved on to all types of flavors-Butterscotch, Watermelon, Skittles, Cinnamon Bear Claw and Vanilla-no menthol needed. I think I get a kick out of trying all the flavors-so many more choices than the death sticks...lol
