What is the best passthrough ?

I'm pretty new to vaping (about a month), but thanks to this forum I have the best eGo kit (KGO), the best juice (Boba's Bounty), and am using Boge 510 LR Cartomizers and Ressurector Cartomizers.

The KGO with the Boge's and Ressurectors loaded with Boba's works great. But I need a passthrough to use at home while the KGO batteries are charging.

I'm wondering if the forum could please point me int he direction of what is considered to be the best passthrough battery. I will be using Boge 510 LR's and Ressurector cartomizers with Boba's Bounty 18mg liquid.

I'm looking at this one myself. I wouldn't plug it into my pc (get usb to wall plug) and make sure you use the correct voltages for your devices i.e. LR carts use low voltages.

Is there a big difference in the various passthroug batteries? Which one would be the one to get ?

I really like my eGo-T 650 mAh PT, but I've not used any others. I plan on getting an eGo-C 1000mAh PT in the near future.

That VV has peaked my curiosity, though.

I have the Joyetech eGo-C 1000mAh PT and it's not bad. Keep in mind that the Joyetech batteries are 3.2v - 3.3v only and the KGO and other eGo style batteries tend to run at 3.7v. Personally, I would go with the 3.7v option. And like others, I wouldn't use the computer USB port directly with a charger or PT. If you have a self-powered USB hub, that's a much better option.

I like that. No battery, pure PT, and stepped VV options.

I like the gotvapes vornado thing, but I'm pretty sure you can use it with other cartos. It's a 3 stage VV - I want to say 3,2, 3.8 and 4.2?

P.S. No pass throughs work on any of my computers' USB ports. Do work on my e-reader adapter however - 1.8A.

I believe the problem is older USB2 ports have a 500mah max, some pass throughs require up to 1.5A. BC 1.1 compliant USB2 ports can do 1.5mah which is why you will see that they work for some people and not others. You should be able to look up your computers model on the OEMs website and see if it's BC 1.1 or 1.2 compliant or if it's a custom built computer the motherboards manufacturers website should have it listed.

That being said I personally wouldn't pull that much amperage through a USB port off my computers motherboard, those traces are pretty thin and can burn out. I may be new to vaping but I've been around computers for a good bit heh.

You can usually find cheap powered USB hubs that are BC 1.1 or 1.2 compliant.

The rule of thumb around here is, if the passthrough has an 'inline battery' like the one derk provided a link for above, that's ok (safe) to plug into your computer. If it does NOT have an inline battery like this one...

you will want to get a wall adapter and plug it into the wall instead of your computer. The reason for this is safety of your computer. The computer was not made to power such devices, and so you run the risk of harming your computer.

I wish KGO make a passthrough, the regular KGO batteries rock.

Any other suggestions for a 3.7v passthrough? preferrably an 1100mah one?

I'm liking this one. It does 3.2, 3.7, 4.2, and 4.7v.

I've seen other vendors that carry it as well, as low as like 13-14 bucks.

I got enough batteries, But I like the idea of variable voltage for a passthru.

get a passthrough usb only without the battery and use a wall adapter there is a 5v model available at most sites about $10-15
