What is the difference between Ce5 and EVOD Atomizer?

I was wondering what the difference between the Ce5 clearo and the EVOD Electronic Cigarette Round Mouth Atomizer is. I am currently using the Ce5's with long wicks and I really like them but I came across the EVOD Electronic Cigarette Round Mouth Atomizer (10-Pack / 1.5mL) on fasttech for about $25 and was wondering if they might be just as good.
Any help would be very much appreciated!

Thanks for the reply yxh7129!
I have several Ce5's but I also have 2 Protanks as well so I know how the bottom coils work too.
My batteries that I use have both the 510 and ego threading, will the Evod atomizers fit my batteries?
Have you used the Evod atomizers? Do they work well?

The EVOD will fit your battery because the EVOD is EGO threaded. Another thing protank's replacement heads fit into EVOD's. So instead of buying 2 different types of heads you can buy Protank heads.

Thanks Rat2chat2, I am thinking about trying to do some rebuilds, I haven't done one yet but I have a Protank head that has completely just quit on me so I think I'm going to try to rebuild it. And I really need to watch some videos on cleaning the heads to the Ce5's, I haven't had to do that yet but I might get a little more life out of them before I have to replace the heads.

Thanks KinkyPenguin, I have already bought some clearos that were supposed to fit my batteries but didn't. Don't want to make that mistake again so I'm a little more cautious now.

The biggest difference is that the CE5 is top coil, the Evod bottom coil.

BC tends to vape a little cooler, at the same watts. Since the coil is on the bottom of the container, dry hits (unless really going to town!) are not going to happen.

Top coils will need the tilt and swirl when they start to get low on juice, to rewet the wicks. Not a big deal if you like the vape you get from them.

To some, the CE5 is "easier" to refill. Just unscrew the drip tip, fill, replace tip.

The Evod (and most BC units), take it off the battery, upend, unscrew the base, fill, replace. You'll probably get a little juice off the base when you set it down, may have some drip out once you put it back together. Again, not a big deal if you like the vape.

Personally, I prefer the BC devices. That's me, you may not prefer them. But, you don't know until you try. :vapor:

I am definitely in the minority here, but I like the CE stardust replaceable coil units. I know the Bottom coils are the rage and most folks prefer them. But for me it is two issues.
1) I like the warm vape of the top coil CE's. I do not like the cool vape of the bottom coils (evods).
2) I have bad eyes. I cannot see my liquid level in the narrow window of the evods.
Do what works, and enjoy it.

Absolutely! If you prefer the warmer vape the top coils are the way to go. You may also like the Vivi Nova, another top coil clearo. Holds about 2.8 ml, where the CE5 is 1.6.

Regarding point 2 - I actually prefer the T3S over the MT or the Evod, as there's no metal sleeve. Although the Vision V-Tox, an Evod clone, has 4 windows, and is a lot easier to see the juice level. Yeah, the Evods can be a pain that way!

But if you've tried both top and bottom and prefer the top, by all means stick with them! To me, that's a key element - trying different systems to see which I prefer.

For top coils I like Vivi Novas especially with the all aluminum tanks so i can use any juice I want without worry.

For bottom coils I have been using EVODs but these cannot use all of the juices since they are plastic. So I looking to switch to ARO as soon as Fasttech starts carrying them since they are pyrex clones of the EVODs.

IIRC the ARO doesn't use the Evod/Pro heads. Not necessarily and issue - unless you have a large supply of them!

In another thread someone said that the Pro tank heads would not work but they had been using an EVOD head on an ARO for about two weeks.

EDIT: Here is the quote:

Weird...I had a problem getting a Protank coil to seat, but I've been vaping one of my Aros for nearly 2 weeks with an Evod head in it.
