I use a 510, and am just starting to consider mods. I think the 510 is great, but it's come with quite a learning curve; no problem for me, but for some it could be daunting to say the least. I know of a few folks who might be interested, but likely wouldn't if they have to work very hard at it.

What do folks think is the best, easiest to use, and most foolproof product for someone who is not technically inclined, likely doesn't use internet resources (like these forums) much, and would likely prefer using prefilled carts as opposed to dealing with refilling or even topping off? Are the cartomizer products worth looking into?

You own arguably the best, most reliable ecig right now. You might want to simplify processes, not hardware. Get a 5-pack of 510 mega batteries from TW. Get four 510 USB chargers (also available at TW) and a Kensington 4-port USB charger adapter. If your atty's are currently okay, you probably won't need spare atty's for a while. Learn how to re-pack your carts with polyfill--you will get used to it. Get a 3 ml glass dropper bottle for topoffs--much easier than plastic dripper bottle.

HTH,
Dave

go get yourself a KR808D-1 , aka TheNebula TheVaporKing. The prefilled carts last at least 10 analog cigarettes long , sometimes longer , the average 5 pack of atomizer/cart combos will only run you on average about $10.

for me when i'm traveling or "going out" there is not another device i would want to use. The cartomziers can be re-filled with juice , but it's completely optional

I agree with you Dave, but this isn't for me. I'm actually hoping to introduce some of my in-laws, who won't be inclined to get into all the technical aspects of vaping as we do.

Thanks for the info Grimm, this might be the ticket. How easy is it to refill the cartomizers? Would you find them "satisfying" enough to replace analogs, if you used no other PV? Who's the best supplier?

Three votes for the Nebula, or Vapor king aka kr808d-1...

All the retails I've dealt with have been super...

In order of my past orders:

Ben @ Vapornine=excellent
Frank@ Cigeasy=excellent
Cletus@ Mist sticks=excellent

If I were to try and get a non-techy to try a PV?

There's no doubt--KR808D-1 would be my first and only choice...

Look no further for works+uncomplicated

Thanks all, the KR808D-1 sounds like the one to recommend. I'll likely be showing off my 510 at a family gathering this weekend, so questions are sure to come up.

Do you really think it's a good idea to recommend an ecig you haven't tried yourself? Not necessarily including the posters on this thread, beware of the many ecig suppliers in cognito in the forum :(

All autos, because of the sequencing that takes place have a steeper learning curve. This is played out on a daily basis on the new member forum. The one that stands out as a "out of the pack and go" ecig is the 510, again, by the majority of posts from newbies.

All ecigs will have the 'nasty taste' posts because all attys have some shipping fluid. All attys have the ability to run dry or be flooded. So those posts don't count against any ecig.

There are more "I quit the day I got my 510' posts than for any other ecig. Not saying that hasn't happened with every model, just that there are more posts that have been posted that say that phrase almost verbatim. And my experience with myself and others that I know locally, has been the same as far as learning curve goes - there isn't much of one for the 510 - sister, wife, and more than a dozen friends. I didn't see my sister for 3 weeks after she got hers and when I did I asked her how it was going (I had given her a cheat sheet and no communication since)... she said 'fine, it's pretty simple'.

I think you might be underestimating your friends on this one :)

Been using the Vapor King for a week now, awesome starter...super easy to use. The best for introducing someone to vaping. I went through V4L and couldn't be happier! Excellent Customer Service. If your peeps want to simply quit, this would be the way to go, or they could start with these, get used to vaping and make the decision to switch to a more advanced device l8tr. From what I understand, the batteries are compatible with a lot of other devices which would make future purchaces more affordable.

Im going to be getting the pipe (601 I think?) next.

Dave: good point, but I wouldn't recommend something based on a few posts and without doing more research myself. I would have likely came to the same conclusion about the Nebula had I researched it first on my own, but I was lazy. :D

Kent: you don't have to sell me on the 510; I'm a tinkerer by nature and choice, so I know using a 510 wouldn't necessarily be as complicated for someone else as I've made it for myself. I wasn't impressed with the prefilled carts it came with, but there may be better ones available. Seriously, though, I don't think the folks I have in mind would ever want to deal with refilling, cart stuffing, or any of the details that you, I, and most of us here take for granted. But I will certainly let them know about it! :thumb:

It's nice to know what the other option are, from those who have used them, since I've only personally dealt with an SE Gold (which I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy), an 801, and the 510. The 510 will definitely be my first recommendation!

Hi Dave,

You seem to be a very caring person? caring enough it seems to further the idea a rather scurrilous conspiracy is afoot herein?

Isn't that special?

Dave, if you'd bother to re-read the thread author's lead post you'd see the REASON he's looking for a simpler e-cig is that he already owns the 510 and thinks it queer enough not to inflict it on his in-laws...

How's that make you feel?

no biggie Dave, you actually gave me a pretty good laugh.

You just unscrew the cartomizer from the battery, and hover a juice drop over the hole and the cart sucks it down...

I thought I was answering your question as to how easy it is to use. And pointing out the obvious from posts on the forum. That's what 'sells' anyone.

Three of that dozen or so I mentioned, use only carts, so it may be the prefilled carts you got. I get them from Janty or dietsmokes because of the quality of the juice, imho.... And that's where I send those people.

I just broke out two prefilled from an early JS purchase and both were fine, still good flavor. Not like juice though but I'm fuzzy about juice ;-) Some just want the nicotine.

I just laugh at those without much experience. Let me be clear again. It's not a good idea to recommend anything you haven't tried yourself. I guess you will just have to embarrass yourself once or twice before you learn.
