This may be a bit obsessive, but here goes

When you activate the atomizer on an ego-c (and gently draw), do you hear a faint sucking sound, sometimes punctuated by a quite crackling and the occasional pop? Like a dying wood fire?

I am quite certain its not the bubbling from flooding, or the sizzling from a dry with burnt taste. Not leaking - there is only a bit of condensation in the code. Nothing wrong with the vape - it's darn great in fact.

I haven't been able to find anything on this, except someone who said they like this sound.

So, is this normal? Just tell me it is.

Savu, I just asked a very similar question about my eGo C in the Newby (which I am) forum. After looking at the advice given and reading some more, seems to me this is perfectly normal.

In the words of Jughead (just did my first order) congrats on finding the vape! I am new too. Thanks for that - I just realized what a great place the new members area is - a lot of interesting questions I have always been wondering about.

Yeah, the sound can vary from device to device (PV and carto/clearo/tank). The eGo tanks and C system tends to be fairly quiet; the atomizer is small, voltage is low, so it doesn't give a whole lot of snap crackle and pop, mostly you just hear the draw of air through the mouthpiece. On the other hand cartos and clearos can be noisier and you can definitely hear the crackling and popping. Just depends on how buried the coil is and what material it's buried in. The eGo-C is pretty well insulated (inside a steel atty module surrounded by an aluminum cone) so you won't hear much.

Basically, if you can hear a proper sizzle at all, it's in good nick.
