I'm hoping vaping over time will become more like a coffee use thing 2-3 times a day?

I'm interested in in knowing the usage pattern for vapers, as in number of times per day. I'm wondering if it's realistic to hope vaping can become more of an recreational use activity .. say once in a while .. or 2-3 times a day?

Is it like smoking, a fairly consistent thing 15+ times a day?

Is it more like coffee, 2-3 times per day?

Is vaping a time of day thing, for relaxation or ritual etc. OR is it essentially a way of maintaining nicotine levels?

A lot of smokers say, if they could only have a 2-5/day and be happy with that without enduring withdrawal. they wouldn't mind smoking so much (less negative effects etc.) ... Is vaping something that could used the same way, or does the nicotine withdrawal encourage much more use?

Lots of questions, but essentially ... how many times a day do you vape?

For me the best is vape instead of smoking. As long as someone decided to vape he mustn't return to smoke.
Every person is different.Someone who smoked 5 cigareettes he might use e-cig a lot less than someone who used to smoke 1 or 2 packs a day.
For example i vape whenever i sit.I don't mind if i am somewhere that vaping is not allowed even if i am there for 2 or 3 hours. But as long as i can vape i use it a lot.

I'm like NGIB on this one. When I'm out and about or at the office, I treat it much like I would an analog, at home though, I vape constantly. More In the morning when I first get up and then just regularly throughout the day. It should be noted I work from home most days.

So I rarely put this thing down... I love the flavors! I switched to a lower nic to be able to support that behavior. I think if you had a higher nic and were only using it to fight cravings you could get to a point that you use it less frequently. 2 -3 times a day seems like a stretch to me though.

It is really about what your addiction demands of you and how you want to behave. I am happy using my PV like a pacifier. You want it to be occasional. If that is really where you want to be I am sure over time you can train yourself to behave that way.

Is anyone using vaping in a similar way as NRTs. Say like 10 puffs every 2-4 hours?

Does anyone who switched to vaping feel like they could NOW stop vaping anytime they want because vaping would clearly be less addictive than smoking (bad word I know)

After you switched to vaping ... does vaping feel like more of a choice, than analogs were.

I vape heavily with my coffee in the morning about 1/2 ml and at night when I'm relaxing I'll vape non stop, 1&1/2 ml. During the day I will take little puff once in a while, but i dont think about it often anymore. If I'm spending the day by the pool/beach/campfire it is continuous. I'd say situational and personal preference. I don't think I treat it at all like I did smoking as it's either a non stop session or one puff every now and then. When I smoked I smoked after or during the same processes every day and if I couldn't get one I was irritable and plotting when and how I'd be able to get one. Vaping is much more relaxed and enjoyable in that sense among many others

Not I. I vape when I feel like it. Sometimes it's a nicotine thing, sometimes just to vape. I don't vape how I used NRTs (I smoked while on them), and I definitely don't vape like I smoked.

Not I. I'm new and am happy just not smoking tobacco at the moment. I was okay with smoking too, I enjoy it. I have many vices and this is the last of my worries.

I choose to drip a bit of melon into an atomizer for the taste and quick nic hit. I didn't have that choice before. ECigs are all about options and being free of tobacco (for me), not kicking the habit or dropping nicotine.

For you vaping sounds to be more recreational use, a decision you make rather than being driven by nicotine cravings. You certainly don't seem to plan your day/work around when you will get your next nicotine hit. That's encouraging, much different than smoking use.

Who says coffee is a 2-3 times a day type thing!

After a year+ of vaping I have fallen into a pattern of only one or two toots at a time usually repeated every three to five minutes. The nice part about vaping is that a cigarette burns up whether I'm smoking it or the ash tray is, and a PV just sits there waiting until I want another toot. I think that when I was working my ash trays smoked more cigarettes than I did.

AND I'm with TJ99959 and Black Strat. I find that I'm just taking a few vapes here and there, not forcing myself to finish the whole analog to not waste it. I do work, so I vape a bit more right before I head into work, during lunch, and right after work - but once I get home, I keep my PV sitting right next to me, take a couple vapes, set it down - maybe about 10 minutes later take a couple more. I love that if I do get a craving at work, i can go into the bathroom and leave knowing that no-one will ever know what I just did. When those at work are asking how I'm handling quitting smoking, i'm happy to tell them that I'm using a nicotine inhaler and it's working beautifully!

I use mine like an NRT my goal was to get off cigs which i did day 1 with ecig , my goal is to get off nic and not need to vape period. my smoke ritual was 1 cig every 2 hours -10 hits. i did that for the last few months before i switched to ecig.
I do the same with my ecig every 90 minutes to 2 hours and max of 10 hits ( usually i only do 6-8) and i am using 12mg.

I hope to get to 0 nic and figure I will keep some 0 nic juice around "incase" that being a super super stressful situation that might want to throw me back into smoking and i can just turn to the vape instead.

it's been 20 days and the routine is working well for me personally, but i do think part of it is psychological and thats the part i am breaking by controlling time and amount.

I've only been vaping a month, but I vape quite a bit. I think it's partially that I'm excited about it, partially that the PV/APV setups I have are new and gizmos. I was afraid that I would end up like some of the people on Youtube that will take monster hits and blow out giant plumes of vapor. So far it hasn't changed *how long* I'm hitting it, but because it is more enjoyable than an analogue I hit it much more often. I work at home though, so it isn't a matter of fitting it in where I have time and a place to do it, good or bad I can do it inside, unlike an analogue. So I might not be chain-vaping, because I'm putting it down for longish periods, but when I'm having a vaping session I'm really going at it. I'd be green in the face and quite sick if I tried this with an analogue. :)

All day, every day!, inside, outside, at my desk where I work, .
I liked smoking, but I like vaping much more. After 2+ years I'm really down to less than 5% nicotine, or non at all. The flaborsvare awesome, and thats what I started craving, the fruit flavored juices.

I don't think there is a way to say any one person is like the next when asking for TYPICAL PATTERN OF USE. Everyone has a choice and you will find we all have our opinions. I don't if anything is typical in vaping but, I love it and am so thankful I'm not smoking cigs any more
