what is this FEELING?

man! waking up to my third day of PVing, and i feel like im 2 days into a bad cold! My soft palette is swollen along with my uvula(sp?). EVERYTHING you would expect when you have a cold. I can barely 'POP' my ears, and stiiiiiiiff neck from HELL!!! just like a cold (I guess more specifically a HEAD cold) What is happening to me i smoke ry4 24mg with my tornado . I wasn't TOO concerned with the headache figured that it was the increase of nicotine. HEEELP! Don't know whether to boil some tea and soup, or lower the nicotine strength change to VG or quit altogether. I looked hard through a bunch of threads and couldn't get enough info. I would appreciate any and all feedback, positive or negative

I felt pretty crappy overall for the first couple weeks after I started vaping...I don't know if it was just my body getting used to it or withdrawal from the other crap in real cigarettes.

sorry I couldn't help more....maybe you need a higher nicotine level to vape less...sometimes we go overboard with lower nic levels. When I first started I went with a 24mg and found that I needed to buy a 36mg to supplement when I really started feeling the need for nicotine.

I got pretty sick with the same exact symptoms. If you search around you will see a lot of people saying the same things.

Your body is healing and, as my doctor said, more susceptible to colds, flu and respiratory infections.

Give it some time, get over your cold and you'll be ok. Make sure you are drinking lots of water while you are vaping...more so in your first few weeks after quitting analogs.

If you're doing both analogs and your PV you probably still have cut back big time on your analogs and probably will still have the same side effects of quitting.

still detoxing from cigs, nicotine levels are probably way out of whack(headaches), PG is known to cause sore muscles(lactic acid buildup?), and maybe you have a little cold to go with all this other stuff.

Iam - I had something akin to this - my mouth felt swollen and cottony and I had a sore place on the roof of my mouth too but it passed after a day or so - increasing liquid intake (water, juice etc) helped enormously. I figured it was more likely caused by vaping than detoxing, although it could have been a combo of both I supppose, but whatever it was it didn't hang around.
A week later my mouth isn't swollen anymore, the sore spot went really fast, I tried to move the mouthpiece on the PV so it wasn't aimed at one spot all the time (I put that down to a burn, either chemical or actual from the vapor temp) and it hasn't recurred.
Remember; we don't KNOW how safe vaping is, we just assume that its safER than smoking because the side effects appear to be less and the amount of chemicals taken in than with smoking ARE less.

I have from time to time gotten sick as after my packages arrive. Juice only packages. I think there are some sick people packing and mailing us germs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really, I am not kidding. Twice I have gotten sick after getting a package in the mail, unless my mail carrier is sick. Could be.

Have you completely quit smoking tobacco? If so, it can be the side effects of quitting. Remember, even though you're still getting nicotine, that isn't the only addictive substance in tobacco. Your body is flushing them out of your system. You'll probably also start coughing a lot, as you lungs start to flush out the tar and other impurities. Most people who convert from smoking to vaping experience a lot of the symptoms associated with quitting smoking - because you did!

First time I vaped got a full head of congestion and a bloody nose, freaked me out good.It was a buddies old "fifty one" that might have been left outside for a while in the heat.I had never had a bloody nose in my life except getting smacked as a kid.Moved on to the 510 and it does dehydrate me but its not a big issue cause only using it about once a week when going out.In my case it wasn't a withdraw from nic issue as I only smoked once a week then .Im the freak who doesnt smoke/vape except when going out .

I can't pop a new thread in yet apparently, so I just wanted to ask some of the new guys in here about something.

The only thing I've noticed about my vapeing (after two weeks) happens when i switch between my Johnson's Creek juice and a generic Camel flavor that came with my 510. Three times now I've switched out my daily Simply Strawberry juice for the Camel, and when i switch back to the Strawberry, my tongue feels like is dried out. It will be like that for atleast 1 full day after I get back on the Johnson liquids. I havn't been able to confirm this about the Camel, but I'm almost positive that there both PG.

Have you guys ever had this happen to you if your switching between 2 different brands of juices? (Going from one Johnson's to another doesn't seem to do it).
