What Is This Substance?

I'm sure this has been asked before but:

I've noticed a white coating/deposit/film on my metal drip tips after every use, the part that is in contact with my lips.
Haven't used a plastic tip in awhile, so not sure if it is present on those as well, but is always there on my aluminum, ceramic, and stainless steel tips. It always needs to be washed off and is more visible on colored or dark drip tips.

Any ideas as to the chemical makeup of this substance? If I had to guess, I'd say it was condensed and dried sugars and/or sucralose. Nothing that concerns me, just curious.

I'd guess some solid deposits from the condensate of the e-liquid, dead skin, and various small organisms, such as bacteria, mold spores, and dust mites.

I think some call them lip boogers, or some such euphemism.

Lip Schmutz, skin, spit, etc... Metal drip tips need to be cleaned ore often

IMHO Its from your mouth being dry. When you vape your mouth can become dry. It's like when your mouth is dry and you get .... on the corners of your mouth. That's what it is. Drink more water while vaping and I bet you will notice it will go away. (Just a thought)

maybe you arent hydrating the drip tip enuf it needs more water...

It could also be salts and sugars from your mouth that just grime up the place, I find on some metal tips it gets inside the pipe part and needs q-tipping out and its 'orrible looking, like ear wax mixed with er something not nice.
