I must admit that I cheated. I asked her (because it was BUGGING me!!!).

Now here's the best part. Even AFTER she explained it to me, I STILL didn't know WTH it was!!!!

And since neither you nor Racehorse knows, it MIGHT be a lost cause. There's only ONE person that I can think of that now might know, but I don't know if she's even watching this thread. If she is, I hope she puts down her teacup and drops the answer.

:pop:

I just haven't been vaping long enough to know what the older devices were/used. And I'm a pretty one sided vaper who loves RTAs. And if its something boutiquey, I probably won't know what it is either as I'm unwilling to spend $500+ on a mod.

It's nothing fancy - I'll say that. Typical Kat stuff, finding a way to make something slightly better/stronger/bigger/longer.

:nun:

Calling @tearose50. If Tea doesn't know what it is (but she will), NOBODY will. Not ever. The green thing that Kat posted (looks like a battery). Do you know what it is?

Moving on/out for a bit. I hope this resolves itself by the time I return.

Kat: A home run. I've got to give this one to you. Well done. :toast:

Hmmm........ could be the same? Dunno.

Check out this vid....... from 2009!!!

I think this is a great looking device for it's time way ahead of it's time in design-----------I got a big kick out of

this guy when he says---" Whew this thing really gives a ton of vapor-you can get a lot of vapor from this thing..."

The vapor to me looked like todays dead battery problem....hahahahahahahahah

Vaping has sure changed since this came out..with Double Twisted Clapton Coils at .04 ohms and 200 watts all

Temperature Controlled with digital clock and calendar that says "same clearomizer or different..up for yes down

for no." Resistence locked in to room temperature........just sayin........

4.8 Volt NiMh in 18650 size

Oh.... I do believe we might be onto something!!!! And you might want to find something to perplex us with next, once Kat gets around to confirming or correcting.

Since I didn't really understand it in the first place, let's await her insightful knowledge.

I could explain but it would be missing all the clever Kat-isms, we'll wait.

Stacked cells. Assuming around 14.8v +. Seems to be 4 cells in series wrapped in a single bundle. Not sure what would need about 15V though. Laptop cell maybe?

Very close -- and the first guess, too. (Hint -- Not all batteries are 3.7 volt batteries)

Wait, wouldn't that be Katechism or sump'n? It IS Sunday, isn't it?

Okie dokie, Senor Plumber........ you are the WINNER! It is indeed a 4.8 Volt NiMh in '650 size.

For those of you (most?) who were unfamiliar with these, they were my battery of choice to turn a 3.7 volt unregulated device into a 5v vape! Run time? Sucky, yes, but what a delightful little vape for the short time it lasted.

(NEARLY the best 30 seconds of my life, DPL) ;)

It also takes its own special batt charger.

I still have a few roaming around the vape drawer. Anyone need 4.8 volts for anything? :D
