This is the most useful thing I've read on this forum yet! Thank you! So many around here assume that everyone knows about the "modes". I was confused, but just didn't ask.

Here's another question related to that. I just bought an itaste 134, that only has VW. However, since it's a microprocessor-controlled device, when I change the wattage ring, it changes the voltage too, right?

Again, awesome post. Made this clear as day. I wish I could give it more than one "like"! :D

:) Thanks..

Yes, the 134, or any variable wattage device, will change the voltage to meet the wattage you want.

Think of resistance as impeding or blocking the flow. I'm tired of the "Garden Hose Analogy," but it's useful. If you turn on a faucet with a garden hose attached, the water coming out at the end represents watts. If you squeeze a kink in the hose less water comes out. The kink is the resistance. The tighter the kink, the higher the resistance. So if you put a kink in the hose, but still want a lot of water coming out, you have to turn up the faucet (increase the volts). I tend to skip amps when initially giving an overview of the concept. When you have a firm grasp of the first three, it makes amps easier to understand.

The kink is also good analogy for voltage loss...but we'll leave that out of this. :) unless you want the hose to have varying inner diameters..a variable load hose.

Current would be a little complicated in that analogy.. Watts is the amount of work measured, so it is the water coming out of the hose.. I suppose the only way to have current in that analogy is the number of water molecules inside the hose.

I'm still waiting on Kitty-ohms

Sadly, that's probably not the first time they posted that:), and I don't even want to think about how many times I typed up different arrangements of priming a cartomizer/wicking rebuildables, vv vs vw, and favorite liquid vendors..search engine needs to be fixed.. doesn't even work on my phone.:/

No... No it wasnt the first time... or third :)

I agree most forums search functions are broken. Thats why I dont scream at newbies asking the same questions - I know how hard it is to find something on forums. Much better to simply answer and make a new friend :)

We need a FAQ;
right now, the real FAQ is Baditude's blog, but of course you don't find that out until you lurk a while.
