Zut, have you tried Nicotickets Custards Last Stand? It's so strong that I have to dilute by probably 70% or more but it's a very accurate custard IMO. And their Crème Brulee, also very accurate, but also very strong. The cool thing about strong liquids though is one 60 ml bottle will last 4-5 times longer because it has to be diluted.

i read what all of you and the reviewers say but...

1) I can't taste those minute subtle flavours in juice. Custard tastes nothing like custard I eat, whether that be diy or premade. Sweetness comes through ejuice but that's about it. I can never taste Apple properly or lemon. The flavours are sometimes nice but never, ever match the description.
2) Steeping juice makes barely any difference whatsoever. The flavours don't noticeably come together or the taste get more intense.
3) Tanks and rdas are so different but flavour difference isn't that noticeable either. The kayfun tastes slightly better but it's not night and day.
4) Different coils (apart from ramp up time and looks) make no difference imo. A fused parallel Clapton is pretty much the same as a simple kanthal.
5) Whether I use rayon, or cotton not much changes. I don't like silica but that's because it's awkward for me.
6) Watts make a huge difference to batteries and vapour, but no difference to flavour. Ppl constantly go on about the extra 15 watts releasing more or less flavour.
7) I get no difference between the inhale and the exhale tastes. Just like when I smoked. Slightly diff temp of the exhale.

 Sorry for my rant, but am I really that wrong??? What's wrong with my tongue o_O

I am happy with my setup but I just wondered am I just weird or is everyone telling porkies?
You need to vape what you like. Its quite obvious you haven't found the juice you like. I agree with Steeping. If a juice sucks its always gonna suck. Maybe try Zamplebox for a couple months and see If you find anything you like. Here is a great Apple juice to try, and cheap. Vape wild, Dutch Apple Pie 3-6 mg's 65 VG PG W/Extra Flavor. Yes you will taste It for sure. It's better than high end Apple juice. Custards are not strong in flavors. Strong flavors are usually fruits and menthol's. Man I can go on forever. There are so many great flavors out there.

Not to be funny or anything but, Flossing and brushing and using Listerine helps with vaping flavors. Honestly!

Cheers magicjosh. I'm in the uk but I've already wasted a few quid on zamplebox. It is cheap if you're in states though. I would be a member but it's just too much to ship it here.
Had a few Apple pies in my time. My absolute favourite dessert. Tastes nothing like it in a vape.
If your super analytical you will dig out a flavour and taste it. But I need my juice to not be so vague and like most other things. Don't worry I guess it's just me though :(

Well, I don't know about custard because I haven't tried any. But I use NicoTicket's Wakanda which is listed as coffee and vanilla...I definitely taste the vanilla, like one of those CoffeeMates creamer cups. Picked up some random brand, Jimmy the Juice Man's creme brulee but haven't tried it yet.
I only use about half a mil per 2ml tank. I use DIY unflavored for most of my juice and only use a few drops of any flavored juice at a time. Got a sample of Betelgeuse which is a fruit punch; took awhile for me to identify it but it is very similar to VitaminWater XXX, which is a different combination of fruits.

I'll admit it's odd and I don't know why. For the last 2 weeks I've vaping a strawberry milkshake. All day long all I taste is strawberry. But every single night on the way home, I taste a strong buttery flavor. That's it. Not at home, or driving in. Just driving home. Each and every night. I love the taste of it, but I only taste it driving home from work. Drives me nuts.

I am glad you enjoy yours belhade and maestro.
To me it sounds like a lot of this is in your heads, particularly the driving home one (or something to do with your tongue at that time).

I mean belhade is looking for a product to identify his vape with. Fair enough if it works for you. I wonder if you would make the same comparisons if you were given the juice by a friend and there was no label on the bottle...

There might be another factor in there. Individuals can specifically not be able to pick up certain flavors. I read an exchange here recently about apple. Some people just can't taste apple no matter what, others can. I can't get much from any fruit flavors even when I've used recipes that other people recommended. I eventually found a few flavors that taste good to me. And I really can taste them.

For a while I used just a little flavor. I filled a tank with VG nic, then added a few drops from a bottle of flavored juice. I did that for a while then went back to regular juice and I could taste it again.

I think I am the same way as you. I have a hard time determining what flavors are in the juice as it is. What helps me to 'taste' the ejuice is either switch between different flavored juices often or vape a tank of unflavored before switching to another flavor. Both make me notice the more subtle flavors in the juice. Another thing that really really helps is to blow the vapor out slowly through your nose. That really helps me to taste it, but eventually you will still run into the problem where you can't taste it fully anymore.

I think the strong levels of flavoring in commercial ejuice promotes flavor blindness.
Starting out I couldn't find any flavor I liked at all. I tolerated everything. When I started DIY I ordered one flavor (see below). For my first batch I was timid and put 3% flavoring figuring I could always add more. It was fine as is. Then I tried 1.5% and that was the sweet spot. I think the less flavoring you use the more flavorful it is. Make your taste do the work. Don't over power it. Try diluting your favorite premix with unflavored. That usually improves them. 1 part to 3 parts unflavored often works, saves money too.

It could be you have dulled taste buds. Or it could be that many juice testers are pretentious vaping equivalents of contemporary art critics who feel the need to explain in excruciating detail why bad art is not bad art even though it appears as such. They elevate themselves by saying it's simply beyond the education and sophistication of "you lowly" people, and as a result you can't appreciate it the way "they" do.

Ok less. I usually go 10% so that's nearly 7 X what you put in. My maths is rubbish like my tasting abilities but I think that's right.

I know right haunted myst. How pretentious can you get. I suppose you do what you can when your flogging it for £10 a bottle. But every other vaper, inc. some on this thread swear by it as well. they've been truthful in everything else which has helped me loads so I take their word for it.

Dulled taste buds it must be

But truthfully guys. When you have custard after dinner, does it actually taste exactly like your vape. 10/10 scores.

C'mon be honest ;)

(Obviously if it's a custard vape)

My senses are performing at the utmost. 100%! Flavors are unreal. Vaping is better than eating. Give me any flavor...and I feel like I've been transported to a Parisian Pastry Shoppe.

My secret is....

I always vape while looking at a life size Bridget Bardot poster.
