What is your vaping goal?

So, a lot of people have asked me about e-cigs, partly because I don't just use a cig-a-like which draws attention (and my joy of vaping clouds). When I get asked "have you given up", I always describe vaping as an alternative. With the side benefit of nicer flavours and a general improvement in my wellbeing.

I don't ever really intend on giving up vaping, I quite like nicotine, but I am happy that I don't smoke cigarettes anymore. Which was always my goal.

Is your goal to just keep on vaping? Or is vaping itself something you want to give up in future? How many of you have a plan to taper off your nicotine consumption?

Have been moving down the nic chain already, I do plan to get down to maybe 6 across the board but right now I'm dripping 12 or 6 and using mostly 12 in tanks but a few 18s here and there.

Don't really have a goal right now to quit vaping, didn't really have a goal to quit smoking when I started vaping either but it happened just the same.

I never intended to quite smoking by vaping. It happened though... well, for the most part. I do not restrict myself except for number when dealing with extremely stressful situations. Then I intended to lower nic while vaping but read about some of the benefits of nic and found some to be true in my own experience so will most likely continue with some nic when I find the minimum level that works for me.... so that answers the "stop vaping" part too.

My only goal, as was yours, was to not smoke cigarettes any more. I think I got that part down pat now. :)

As to tapering off nicotine, I did not start vaping with any notion to lower my nicotine usage, although I have been putting lower nicotine e-liquids into rotation.

Concerning giving up vaping, I have too much time and money invested at this point to think about quitting vaping. Maybe several years down the road, but nothing on the agenda for the near future.

I was most likely going to smoke cigarettes until they killed me; had tried quitting many times, with zero luck and a whole lot of suffering, and I was not willing to go thru that ever again.

Now that I'm vaping, I've finally given up the cigarettes, and that's a freaking miracle as far as I'm concerned. Vape till I die? Sure, why not? I like it, it keeps me from smoking, and even more importantly, it keeps me from WANTING to smoke. If I gave up vaping, I am not certain that I would still NOT want to smoke; I'd probably be looking for the nearest pk of Virginia Slims I could find, and hang the price.

Once an addict, always an addict. Even if I quit everything but pure oxygen and spring water, I would be an addict to the day I died. So no particular reason to give up vaping. In fact, no reason AT ALL, but every reason to continue -- those Virginia Slims are everywhere, just waiting for me to make the worst mistake I could possibly make -- stop vaping.

Started vaping to quit smoking...now my hubby laughs at me because I have been smoke free for 2 1/2 months and have already bought 5 mods...so I guess you could say that I gave up one addiction for another, but at least this one is better for me than the other. Not to mention, I love the flavors and enjoy answering questions of curious individuals and I converted my sister and daughter to vaping. Recently dropped my nicotine from 18 to 12 and my drop again, but no rush, just enjoying the cloud.

That is cool though, I remember when smoking was cool... Think of it this way it makes you happy and you do not feel guilty about that. What fun is in an analog when with every puff you think I need to quit smoking. That is just the minor benefits and the major benefits are you will get to smell better, your teeth will be better, you will enjoy food more, you will be able to smell the fresh morning air and it will last all day long, best of all you will LIVE longer.

Smoking is a habit and Vaping is a hobby:)

Vape on...

I started vaping because I didn't like smelling like cigarettes and really didn't like huddling out in the rain or cold when I wanted to smoke. A nice side effect is that I'm no longer sucking carcinogens into my lungs and a sweet vape satisfies my sweet tooth so I've been gradually losing weight. Goal is to just keep on keepin' on.
