Hey, so I just got my first setup, the 510T and some juice for MLVs

I got 30 ml of Wurthers (18mg), 3ml of Canadian Blend, Arrgh y 4, New York Double Chocolate Cheescake, and Strawberry Cotton Candy, all of which are 24mg

My favorite by far is Arrgh y 4, its soooo tasty, but I've noticed a huge problem b/c it's my first time vaping.

Since I want to constantly vape or at least a lot more frequently then I would smoke analog's, I'm finding I keep getting stomach aches. I'm assuming its because my body doesn't want that much nicotine.

I'm planning on buying a 30 ml bottle of Ry4 with zero nic, and the 3pck 10ml of three flavours in 18ml and vaping RY4 throughout the day and then when I need my fix, just switch over. Or should the 10ml bottles be 24 mg, Or I could just get 12ml across the board?

I know it's all about personal preference, but I'm really interested on everyone elses personal approach, especially from the ex- 1/2 a pack a day smokers

Definitely personal preference. Personally when I'm at home I direct drip using a standard res 510 atty attached to an ego battery (18mg). When I'm out and about I use my trusty APL-A580.
18mg is generally considered medium strength, but you may want to lower it a bit and see if it helps. It also takes time for your body to get used to the E-Cig life style ;)

From another post:
My GP told me, essentially, that nicotine fools your brain (imitates a neurotransmitter and bonds to a receptor) into thinking that there is food in your stomach. And then your brain tells your stomach to start producing acid to digest the food (that isn't actually there). So whether you are smoking, vaping, or chewing nicotine gum the nicotine causes you to have more acid in your stomach than you actually need at any given time. And thus leads to acid-indigestion, GERD, ulcers, etc.
So the thing that has worked for me (when smoking or using an e-cig, and I am not a doctor and I am not your doctor and I don't even play one on TV) is doing something to counteract that--drinking a glass of milk, eating a ginger-nut/ginger-snap, or taking a Nexium or other proton-pump-inhibitor.
There have also been reports of some vapers having an allergy to sweeteners. Cotton Candy is pure sweetness also known as Ethyl Maltol and is used by vapers to sweeten their juice. Try not using the Cotton Candy for a couple of days and see if that helps.

18mg seems the easiest to find for me,so most of my stash is 18.

I also scourge the forums for liquid deals,so I have a whole variety to vape in all strenght, just not paying attention to what strenght I vape right now as I have 5 batteries with diff types of attys on the: ego T-type/dripper/clearomizer/tank/and the infamous evolution.

hehe

I think that your own suggestion about buying some no nic juice so you are not vaping too much nicotine is a good idea. If you were only a 1/2 pack a day smoker, and the average analog has .06 to 2.2 mg of nicotine per cigarette depending on the brand, then your body is not use to more than 24mg of nic A DAY .... let alone 18-24mg per ml of ejuice which sounds like way too much for you.

Me too. I have been off vaping for a while and just tried a juice I used to vape and it made me cough and such. odd cuz I vaped a lot. I guess the body got used to some things. I had wondered why a buddy of mine I tried to get into vaping coughed at my juices. I just got a kit today and filled with 555 and have vaped happily for almost 4 hrs.

ethyl maltol kills me. I get close to an asthsma attack. love the dekang stuff so I got 150ml of my 2 favs. I don't need anything else..

also remember to drink water. vaping dries you out.

MLV's Arrgh Why 4 is fantastic. So is his Wurthers. I've really gotta pick more of that up. I don't know what Ian makes his juices with but it's freaking crack. If I hadn't just ordered a bunch of juice from JC and Juggy I'd have it by now. :)

Anyway, I started at 18mg, and when I was still new I vaped like mad. I loved it so much and felt like I had so much to explore that I wanted to cram it all in at once. Eventually though the novelty wore off, I upped my nic to 24mg for a few months, then it caught up with me and I dropped right down to 12mg, which is where I stay right now. I physically can't even vape 18 or 24mg for more than a few puffs anymore (enough to do reviews if that's what I've been sent though) because I just jump right into nic OD mode with the headaches, tinnitus and occasional nausea after a few minutes.

It can take a while. When you switch to vaping your body undergoes a whole lot of changes that all happen at different intervals. One of those seems to be your body's tolerance for nicotine. At first 18mg was alright but wasn't strong enough for me, my body wanted more. When I upped to 24mg it was like heaven, at least for a few months. Then my body was all like, "Whoa, bro, you know, maybe I was a little hasty with this 24mg stuff," so I dropped back to 18, then to 12, and right now I'm completely satisfied with 12.

As for when I vape, well ... basically whenever I want. That was hard to get used to, too. The regimen of light/smoke for 5 minutes/.... out/repeat in 15-30 minutes was so ingrained in me that when I switched to vaping and suddenly lost that schedule and all of the cues that went with it I felt like I was lost in uncharted territory. Which I pretty much was, let's face it. I didn't really know how to conduct myself with E-cigs. How do I know when I'm "done?" Do I force myself to keep to a cigarette-like schedule? Do I vape like mad for an hour and then put it down for an hour or two? What are my new cues?

In the end, being lazy and all, I just kind of fell into picking it up when I wanted some, taking a few puffs, and putting it down again, repeating whenever I felt like it. I learned to appreciate this new unstructured feeding of my habit as a matter of much greater convenience, since I could do it pretty much whenever I wanted and didn't have to set aside time for it or make sure I had enough time to "finish." TWo minute walk to the local store? Cool, pull out the PV, take a few puffs, walk into the store, shop, come out, take a few puffs, arrive back home. I wasn't a slave to the scheduling I had to do with cigarettes.

So I suppose the answer is, I don't really have a style, unless a lack of style could be considered one.

I like to blow out huge clouds of vapor and often. So I vape on devices that allow me to do just that. As far as juice, I vape anywhere from 8mg to 18mg, so as not to put myself into a nic coma. Provari with a DCT, Silver bullet with an IMR 18650 and low res 306, VV splash with just about anything on it all work for me, and these setups are just listed to give a few examples.
