Hi people

After vaping for about a week ive come to realise something and that is...

I never actually needed the nicotine, what i really needed was the time to myself that i got with a cigerrete. So i would park up somewhere and smoke on my own, or on holiday it would give me time to sit and ponder with a cigerette. Ive only vaped twice a day and ive been fine and i would usually smoke 7-10 cigerettes a day.

Now how/what do i smoke that has no nicotine in it? can i just buy flavour on its own and smoke that?

Buy some vegetable glycerin at the health food store, mix it with 20% distilled water (4:1), add flavor (lorann's). Should cost you about $15-20 total for a year's worth of really heavy vaping.

Now, maybe take some of the money you've saved by making your own "no nic juice" and donate it to the SPCA.

So 80% vegetable glycerin & 20% distilled water, and how much flavor?

I need to do this :)

thanks

I am wondering if I will be the same way. I only smoke 1/2 pack of ultra light cigarettes a day. I have quit before, and when started back, I never went back to smoking in my house, car or smoking a pack a day. My boyfriend hates cigarettes, so I don't smoke around him. We went on a weekend trip and I only smoked 1 cigarette the whole time. It really didn't bother me that much.

I ordered a kit 2 weeks ago, but I haven't received it yet. There is some kind of hold-up getting it from China. :( I really want to try this and see how it is! I ordered some juice from somewhere else that is 12mg. Now I am wondering if the 12mg will be too much.

I have always stated that cigarete smoking to me was more of a ritual and no t just nicotine.

Tapping the pack
Packing the cig
Lighting with my zippo (never butane)
Enjoying the first drag

If someone offered me a cig they lit i didnt enjoy it. It interrupted my ritual.

Vaping gives me a ritual - getting my liquid, modding my carts when I use them, plus the hand/oral thing.

I have also vaped 0 nic for a day and didnt have the "nic-rage". - I had my PV and was happy. I use the nicotine because I know it is keeping me away from the analogs, but I am getting lower and lower as each week goes by.

its not really a problem, cutting the nicotine. Its the time i used to make with a cigeratte to sit and thinking. So what i did today was i took my e-cig and sat by this lake like i used to with an analog.

Im not kidding, its eiither the nicotine or something in the analog cigs that cloaks my mind. What do i mean?

ok i totally stopped smoking for about 2 months about 1 month ago and the 2nd week in i realised my thought processes were alot more sharper. I was alot more broader in my thinking, it felt like a cloak that was wrrapped around my brain had been removed when i stopped ( along with better lungs and senses).
Ok so i started smoking analogs 3 weeks ago, and i was back to this odd tunnel vision typee thinking. Its really difficult to explain.

Now even when ive moved to e-cigs its the same so im guessing its probbaly the nicotine....i need to look into exactly what it does to the brain.

But e-cigs are the way to go

DH and I were talking about this very thing yesterday...the "ritual" of smoking.

I've been vaping for 10 days today. When I started, I vowed to pay close attention to "how" I smoked and found the following:
  • When I watch TV or am at the 'puter, I smoke mindlessly! I found myself reaching for them without even thinking...reach out my left hand and there they are.
  • With regard to "reaching out with the left hand", I noticed that I almost ALWAYS place my cigs on my left side (except in the car...no where on the left to put them!).
  • With regard to smoking in the car, the moment I finish clicking the seatbelt, I light a cig. I also noticed a moment of something akin to panic when I'm about a mile or so from work...too close to finish one before I get there.
  • I did not crave a cig right after I ate, which suprised me...big time!
  • When I'm standing around talking, I chain smoke.
As for not needing the nic, so far I haven't tried a recipe with 0 nic. I've JUST put the analogs down and, to be honest, I'm sort of scared to eliminate the nic right now (don't want to go into a feeding frenzy, KWIM?). I have been vaping from 9 to 14mg pretty heavily for the last couple of days, but I have NO idea how those numbers compare to analogs. I smoked Winston Lights, 2+ packs per day.

What I "did" notice, however, is that I do not need a tobacco flavor of any kind, which just blew me away! I made a blend of unflavored nic/VG/PGA as a base and then used 7 drops of base + 3 drops of various flavors and then dripped each one...the clear winner was caramel + banana, followed closely by english toffee, then butter rum.
