Hey all, just a quick intro here. Names Bruce, 42 yrs old out of San Diego, been vaping for about 3 months now. I reluctantly yet successfully quit analogs almost ten years ago. Since I discovered PV's however, I've now re-acquainted myself with my old buddy Nic. Thank Goodness!! Oh, how I've missed him...

My first PV was a Blu. I quickly grew frustrated with the short battery life, and after much research, I decided on the JOYE eGO. I soon after added the USB Battery which is an absolute must-have if you spend any time at the computer, or behind the wheel. The quality and reliability of this unit has surpassed all of my expectations. Don't waste your money on cheap crap, this is all you need.

Directly dripping onto a de-bridged atomizer is the way to go.I found myself topping off the cartridge filler after every four or five puffs anyway, so you might as well de-bridge and be done with it. No more messing with cart filler, much better vapor production and a noticeable improvement in flavor. To eliminate the hassle of having to remove the mouthpiece every time you drip, buy a T-Tip Drip Tip and don't look back.

Actually, I prefer using cartomizers. Same flavor, taste, and throat hits, with a lot less hassle. There are many threads about the advantages of using cartomizers.

Also, USB passthroughs are okay, but in my opinion, I'd rather just have extra eGo batteries that don't need a USB cable (they're cheaper than USB/eGo passthroughs, too), and then I can come and go as I please without messing around plugging in the cable. Just charge the eGo batteries and go for many hours before they need to be recharged again -- and without being tethered to the computer or a wall adapter.

Like many people, I wasted money on cheap-quality starter kits, passthroughs, and atomizers, but now I have the ideal setup with several eGo batteries, cartomizers, and drip tips, used as mouthpieces.

I've tried many flavors of juice from many different places and I now know what I like... flavor wise, which is personal. I've seen people trash a company because they didn't like a particular flavor. Don't let that stop you from trying it, their taste may differ from yours. It's the quality and reliability of a company that should concern you most. I now only buy American Made juice from one vendor, and that's Tasty Vapor.

They are super fast, well priced and highly regarded amongst the community. I love their flavors and the fact that you can customize the juice to your exact specifications. I prefer a 90/10 PG to VG ratio in 24mg strength. The juice is made fresh to order and usually shipped between one and two days. It's ready to go right out the box, but I find that letting it sit for a week or so brings out more complexity and definition to the flavor.

Hey deback, thanks for the tip, I've heard good things about cartomizers and will give them a try. Just to clarify, I use the USB pass through in conjunction with my regular eGo. They compliment each other nicely and the USB version can be unhooked from the power source and used on it's own.

Yes, I realize that, Bsg, but imagine if you just had a second individual eGo battery and never had to plug it in or unplug it from the USB cable. Imagine if you only had to charge it like you do the other eGo battery, and then you could take it to the bathroom, to the laundry room, to the garage, to the store, to work, or anywhere and not have to unplug it from the cable first or have to sit at your desk or by a USB wall adapter with the USB cable hanging from the end of the battery.

Just trying to point out now what you''ll realize in a week or two after being stuck with the USB cable -- when you'll discover that you could buy a 2nd battery without having to hassle with the cable, for less price than the USB passthrough, and put the USB passthrough in a drawer and just use the 2nd eGo battery, like you do with the 1st eGo battery -- with no cable tethering you to a desk or near a wall adapter.

I'll post an answer about cartomizers soon. Might try to find one of my many posts about cartomizers, so I don't have to type it all again. Or you could click on my username over at the left and then click on See Forum Posts, and you should find several messages where I posted how I:

used the Boge 510 cartos from litecigusa.net for the last two months and will be switching to using only the KR808D-1 cartos in the near future, because they produce more flavor, and I just have to use adapters from goodprophets.com that are: 510-battery to 808/901-atomizer, at 99 cents each. You'll need to use a small screwdriver to turn the round connectors on the adapters two full turns to the left to lift the round connector out a little so it will make a better connection with the round connectors on the batteries.

Goodprophets.com also has the GP808 cartos that are the same as the KR808D-1 cartos for $7.49 on sale right now for a box of five. Free shipping for orders over $30, I believe. They also have 900mAh eGo batteries at $21.95 each. I just bought two of those yesterday, 11 boxes of GP808 cartos, 9 adapters, and 8 metal tapered drip tips. The 5% coupon code is: tvcfriend

Ended up typing most of it all out again. :)

Thanks for doing the heavy lifting. You are a wealth of information. I totally agree with you about the second battery. I should have pointed out that my eGo starter kit included a second batt, so with my pass through, I actually have 3 and couldn't be happier. I'll be sure to check out your previous posts, no sense typing more than you have to.

Bought the Ego and some Carto...more I read more I think I will drip.....after I didn't think I would...what accessories would I need to add to perfom the drip magic?

Thx
