Well I have had my VEA for exactly two weeks now with good success. Seem to be doing much better with VG than with PG. My question is What keeps stuff- bacteria, mold, fungus from growing in the smoke juices- they seem to be good media- flavors and all. I am a low user and I have been alternating between 4 flavors for the last 2 weeks. Tonight I decided it was time to REfill my cartomizers. They originally held 1 ml but on refilling, they took less than 0.5 ml each before they started to ooze a bit of juice. That does not seem like a lot after 2 weeks of use. I actually counted my puffs since i am new- and we are talking 100 to 200 puffs per carto before my refillings. So my 45 ml of juices is going to last like forever and I don't want nasty organisms to grow in them.

... I once heard one person say that smoke is similar to what comes out of your BBQ grill...vaping is similar to what comes out of a tea kettle.

That is a Good Analogy.

Not exactly sure what it has to do with the Mold or Fungus growing in an e-Liquid, but a Good Analogy all the same.

Both pg and vg are bacteriostatic, meaning that their chemical properties reduce the ability of bacterial growth. They are often used in hospitals to keep hospital-acquired infections down. Also, nicotine itself is a poison to most living things, and is often used as a pesticide.
Yes I was aware that PG is slightly antiseptic and is used in some IV solutions (not without danger) and in theatrical "fogs", not aware that VG was as well. I am storing all my flavors in the fridge. I only go with zero Nicotine because it IS poison and can kill small animals and children at the doses we are talking about in a ml of smoke juice- so I don't mess with it- except to mix some tobacco with dish soap to make a solution to spray on my rosebushes. People don't appreciate the dangers of liquid nicotine vs burned nicotine in tobacco products. But hopefully people take the appropriate precautions when storing it.

Sorry- but I am not that stupid- it is not the water vapor that concerns me- it is the flavors, preservatives in the flavors, excipients like PG/VG, and just even oils when INHALED into the lungs. It is silly to compare it to a tea kettle- not a good analogy at all. That is like comparing breathing country air to breathing air with pepper spray or even nerve gases or other pollutants in it.

No- that is not true-you are not breathing in water vapor from a tea kettle but heated PG, VG, flavors and other agents. Your analogy is like saying breathing in Air is good for you- even if it has pollutants or toxic gases in it.

Ok.

It's Not a Good Analogy.
