What kind of cotton are you supposed to use with RBA?

For cotton wicks, you can buy the ones form High Desert. Use cotton candlewick sold by most hobby stores, use Peaches and Cream brand white cotton yarn from Wal Mart (boil it 30 mins before using), Cheesecloth, I prefer unbleached you can buy it online or at some grocery stores and, anyplace that sells wine making supplies. Flour sack towels, Wal Mart sells them as do some other stores, work well too.

Cotton balls, rolled cotton, even cotton off Q-tips. As close as your nearest drug store or Wal-Mart. I prefer organic and my wife got me some from the health food store that looks like marshmallows--rolled like a bail of hay. Pinch a corner and pull off a circle of pre-made wick of the desired thickness, Wet and twist one end, feed it through the micro coil and trim it. A 60 second operation at most.

As cotton balls (ala Walmart or CVS) and Q-tips have already been mentioned, I'll also add strands of cotton cheese cloth. The nice thing about cheese cloth is its repeatable. With cotton balls you grab "a pinch". Experience will teach you the correct amount.
With cheese cloth, you can count the threads, adjust, repeat. This works very well for coils like those in a protank or EVOD. It's not better or worse, just another angle.
