So i bought my first E-cig not to long ago (KR808 From V4L) and began to realize i just could not find THE flavor. I have been using cartomizers becuase they are fairly cheap and easy to use. People tell me i should start dripping because it is a cleaner taste or more pure because i would take the cartomizer filler out of the equation. I have been leaning towards the 510 kit because they seem to have all the different options when it comes to vaping. They offer cartos, carts, tanks, and you may also drip. Recently i was instructed to remove the filler from my 808 cartos and get a drip tip. Right now it is working just fine with a V4L blank with removed filler and a drip tip using malty 12mg from BWB (The only flavor i have found that i like). The 510 attys are like 10 bucks a pop, why not get some blank cartos and remove the filler every time? wouldn't this be cheaper and the same as using an atty? or am i missing something?

Any information you can give on a new kit for me that will give me maximum flavor (not a big TH fan) would be great, thanks!

Hey bnag0, glad your enjoying dripping on the gutted 808s!

One of the major downsides to dripping on a gutted 808 is the longevity of the carto. I usually only got a couple days out of a dripper 808 (I used them at 6v) while a good atty can last months.

A vv mod is very hard to beat for people looking for the best flavor imo. If a juice tastes scorched turn the voltage down, if it isn't popping like you think it should you simply turn up the voltage. With the standard 3.7/5/6v devices your only option is to change out the atty for one with a different resistance.

Even if your on limited budget you can find a good vv mod with batteries and a charger for about the same as some starter kits. About a month ago I sold my 3 month old Buzz with two sets of batteries and a charger for like $85 shipped. Watch some reviews and keep an eye on the classifieds.

Happy vaping

You might want to try the Bloog MaxX Fusion cartomizers (without gutting them). They are my favorite by far. You might even like the prefilled flavors. [I'm partial to their 555 cartos, but don't get those if you don't like a nutty taste. Avoid their Menthol, unless you really want a mint cream taste, rather than menthol.] And they fill/refill with your own juice great.

If you are considering entering the wide wide world of the 510, the Riva-510 Special Edition from Liberty-Flights is a cost-effective way to go. It is fully eGo compatible, delivers 750 mAh (compared to your Kr8's 280 mAh) and 3.7V (compared to most fat batts' ~3.3V), and costs only $35. Move quickly; there are only eight left in stock as a write this.

If you miss out on those – and/or if you would like even more mAh – I am very impressed with the 1100 mAh SLB KGO (also 3.7V) I recently purchased from Hoosier E-Cig Supply for $45. It also is compatible with eGo attys/tanks/cartos ... and the steel Type B eGO-T tank/atty from Cignot looks fantastic (along with performing well;-)) on the chrome KGO.

VV (variable voltage) is great, but it is more expensive than using a $35 fat batt (such as that Riva SE) with a $1.60 LR cartomizer or with a $10 LR tank-atomizer and $1.40 tank.

God i am so sick of watching reviews. I have not taken the plunge into buying anything anyone has requested yet mainly because everyone has completely different opinions. On a side note i got 10 5ml sample bottles from gourmet today and had to test them in my kr808 with gutted cartomizer and drip tip which i have been using for my bwb malty. Every one of them tasted pretty gross to me although they were all tested on the same gutted carto :/ (this is no surprise) i don't know if i am picky or what... I know i need some clean 901 attys or better cartos to really test these but i honestly cant see that changing the flavors all that much. This whole proccess is frustrating, i was very close to buying a 1000mah ego today with some attys and cartos but just couldnt bring myself to spend the money on something that i will probably not end up liking any how :(. I need something with great taste and a subtle throat hit these 12mg juices on my kr with reg carto bother my throat. This is my second time trying to get into vaping and it is going just as bad as the first. Okay sorry for the rant but i can feel the grey hairs popping out of my head.

I started out with V4L as my main go to for vaping solutions but I found out I was missing out on other fantastic things. I would recommend switching your juice suppliers. Try Vaperite or Gourmet Vaper. I ordered a sampler from Vaperite and many of their flavors had a smooth TH. I hope to try Gourmet Vapor soon!

If you want to look in to a new kit, my suggestion would be an ego. They sell drip tips, cartos, clearomizers and tanks for them. I know there are mixed opinions of them but I found tanks give me more of a pure flavor than cartomizers. I switched to tanks and don't have any problems with it. They're easy to clean and easy to fill.

I tried quitting on a TrueSmoker M401 and couldn't. I tried quitting on V4L's KR808 and couldn't. I ordered an ego tank kit and was able to. I recently switched from V4L's juice too because I couldn't taste the peppermint cowboy or coffee juice from them anymore, just the sickening sweet taste that I couldn't get rid of.

I'm sorry if I sound harsh toward V4L but its just my experience. I've heard of many on the forums who enjoy their products and successfully quit! Everyone is going to have a different experience.

Your going to find that opinions are like......well you know so here's mine. I've tried the lr's and the Egos and Rivas and they are great products but in the end they are just another step in the search, I know I gave away many and have devices collecting dust as I type. When I got my Buzz my search was over. Well almost that still left me using Boge cartomizers and they too are good but just another step. I then found Ikenvapes cartomizers and while a little more expensive they end up cheaper because they last forever. One member has used one carto for 4 months. Now I don't get 4 months on one but I do get a few weeks on them. I've had a 5 pack last me since the first of Feb. Oh and the vapor and taste is unbeatable. I have a box full of E2s, Fluxomizers, Dual coils, ego cartos, etc. and they don't begin to compare. I put them on my Buzz with adjustable voltage and It's the best vaping there is. I wished the Buzz from notcig would have been available when I started vaping, it would have saved me allot of money buying all those PVs I didn't need to in the search for great vaping.
You can go with fat bats and lrs that simulate hv vaping or go for the real deal and at an affordable price. Like my signature says, A Buzz with an Ikenvape cartomizer is vaping bliss. It doesn't get any better than that.
