What leaches off?

Now that I am juggling tanks, I notice some juices go bland pretty quickly, others take a little longer when I leave them in the tank open to the air.

I also suspect some nicotine leaches off, but can't find any info online.

Any info or suggestions are welcome.

Nicotine doesn't evaporate, flavors will change as they oxidize.

If you've ever seen what a coil (and wick) looks like after a few days of use, imagine that crud leaching back into your e-liquid reservoir in your tank. That crud has to affect the flavor some.

Not all that long ago, tanks were made of plastic instead of glass. The plastic (polycarbonate) and certain flavors (most notably cinnamon and citrus flavors) caused a reaction to cause the chemical degradation of the plastic which could leach into the e-liquid.

I have found that some flavors that contain alcohol taste better when sitting in the tank after being heated. When that has happened I leave to bottle open to air for a bit to get rid of it in the rest.
