All my new atomizers have beige something visible underneath the steel wool bridge, it appears to be a wrapping. Eventually the beige something becomes "charred and hard looking" as you noted, and I start seeing tiny black particles here and there inside the atomizer.

thanks for the info jamie.. i dont think this junk will get into the lungs but i am gonna accept the wrapping burn off or turn into crud factor as to why these thing turn into wimps after xxxx hours of use so predictably..

folks can keep playing the magic with spells and cleaning games.. me i am just gonna throw the silly things away and fit a new one..

trog brings up a good point in this quote ...

how many esmokers are:
1. Knowledgeable enough to clean their atomizers
2. Want to take the time to do so
3. Sit on these forums to study these things like we do :p

The fact is, the general public is going to have to accept these, so cleaning I don't think is a long term solution. Disposibility is ... whether that be 2 weeks in the case of Trog or 1/2 days in the case of Loong totem.

Being able to toss is key.

I use the rn4081, and I've used a magnifying glass to observe the decay of my atomizer. After about a week of use (about one fully charged batteries worth a day) the thread starts to get a bit brown, after around two weeks there is a noticeable burnt aroma, especially when french inhaled, and it just gets worse from there as the fiber gets more and more burnt out. No real solution so far. I'd love to source the atomizers for purchase in bulk. They can't cost more than a dollar or two to have produced, and I'm sure resellers that are selling them online for 7 dollars don't pay that much for them. I wouldn't mind paying say 100 dollars for 50 of them, that would probably last almost a year. edit* maybe I should contact the farsee group and see about an order? http://www.farseegroup.com/index.asp

i actually have tried every kind of cleaning trick in the book cash.. it simply really dosnt work.. once the thing has gone off that is it.. time for the bin and a new one.. u are perfect right being able to toss is the key..

i have just sent off to one Chinese wholesaler asking for quotes and minimum order numbers for generic dse 901 kits..

i need to buy for three family members.. our habits are not gonna stop so buying wholesale has to make sense.. i used to buy my Belgium rolling tobacco in bulk to avoid having to run around looking for the stuff..

i will also try kingfox for wholesale pipes..

Hi Trog

I think you're on the right track here. You might not have seen this thread because it was mostly active while you were away. Posts 55, 73, 115 & 173 have pics or video, and you'll be particularly interested in 173 as it's a cart-smasher (newish cart).

Emp

Hey Emp. I think you are referencing another thread but I'm not seeing a link or a thread title. ??

oops - forgot the link http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/1098-loong-totem-v9-5.html. Probably out of date now but interesting if you haven't seen it yet, Thanks Jamie

This ain't a bad idea. I keep seeing minimum order 5000 units. That should keep half a dozen of us happy for a couple of weeks...

Not to be too pie-in-the-sky, but does everyone think e-smoking developments are going to stand still for a year? Aren't manufacturers keenly aware of failures? Will Target just love all those dead nJoys being returned to brick-and-mortar stores?

I think much better, and less expensive e-smoking options, are in development or near-market as we write.

True. But Ludo has told us some of what Ruyan is up to as far as future devices. And we know GreenCig is about to come to market. New and definitely improved models are coming out almost daily. The competition is heating up, seems to me. I'm not buying anything that I'll want to dump for the Newest Thing in three months. And that's what would happen if I bulk-bought atomizers (mine seem to last about a month with my heavily used pen styles). I'd be locked into a fail-replace cycle that I want to run from!
