What mod for sub-ohm vaping ?

I have an APV V3 mod and omega drip tank along with 28 gauge kanthol wire and organic cotton. I vape at 1.3-1.5 ohms since my mod can't go sub ohm, additionally, I use an effest 30amp limit 18650 battery.

If I plan to upgrade to be able to vape sub ohm and get some fat clouds goin, what is the best mod to get ? What are a few popular ones you all can recommend ? I would want to spend under $100

You can get most any clone for under $100. A few popular ones are the Chi You, King V1-3, Caravela, Nemesis (Probably the most common), Pegasus, Tree of Life, Stingray (also extremely popular despite switch issues), etc.

At that point, it just really boils down to aesthetics.

I urge you though, please please pleas do you research. Gain a thorough understanding of Ohms Law (V=IR) and how it pertains to battery draw. I will also recommend for you to get a better battery as the efest's 30A are just rebranded LG 20A batteries I believe. Baditude will likely correct me on that. With that battery, it's not recommended that you push it very hard.

'Chuckin' de vapez' can be fun and satisfying, but it can also be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. Another thing, you will need an Ohm reader to read your builds before vaping.

Overall, you're looking at a mechanical mod, a couple of Sony VCT5's (recommended), an Ohm Reader, and a lot of research.

I"d get a Hcigar Nemesis Stainless Steel unless you plan on going really low. I would stick with the sony VTC4 or 5. I know that a lot of the efests are rewrapped sony's but I just don't trust them for sub ohm. Also don't go nuts with the subohm thing. Keep it safe. Keep it above .18 ohms and the 30 amp continuous use batteries will be ok. Make sure you check your builds with an ohm meter or you could have a bad day. I personally don't find it necessary to go below .5 ohms and that is with dual or quad builds.

If your battery is the purple efest 18650 2500mAh 35A -- it is a rebranded LG18650HE2 2500mAh rated 20A continuous -- NOT 35A

Tobeco DNA 30, doest't down regulate but for near sub ohm vaping its great and inexpensive and being a tube/provari shape over a box is a plus. I've had no problems with mine.

The efest purple 30a 18650 is a rebranded Sony vtc4. The efest purple 35a 18650 is a rebranded LG he2. Yes, the "35a" is only 20 amps continuous but that's plenty unless you go extremely low. The LG is a great battery. Low internal resistance and a better voltage curve than Sonys at ten amps and less.

If your looking to jump into sub ohm, a full copper mod and a nice RDA is likely going to do you well.

If you plan to go under 0.5 ohms I can't suggest a Nemesis clone in stainless steel they simply aren't made to do that. Between 0.50 and 0.38 and lower the switch and tube body threading just aren't up to the task of carrying the electricity without arcing and heating the switch and thread junction.
