What mod would you choose for a birthday present?

I think i've narrowed it down to between the YiHi SX Mini G 200W and the Lost Vape Triade DNA 250.
The YiHi seems to be a technically superior mod but the Triade will have more battery life.
The YiHi looks to be £199 and the Triade £130. I think i'll leave it up to the missus to decide how much she wants to spend

I think i should stick to regulated mods. I don't think i have enough knowledge to be safe with a mech mod
I didn't suggest you use a Mech.
I said I'm not up on the latest/greatest advances in Chip technologies.
I would never suggest a Mech to Anyone,, I want them all for myself..
I owned a good priv before I sold it, it was a decent performer but there are better options out there...
I have a bad habit of buying whatever catches my eye, but out of the 50 or so regulated I own, The Therion 166, and Triad 250 are the only two I constantly use and by far my favorite. I have a Triad 200 also but the finish on that one did not last a month and it was just peeling off. And I have to say I baby most of my stuff, still functions great though. If your going with Lost Vape I would go with the 250 Chip. And if you want the longest Battery life, the Triad, If the size is the issue than the Therion 166.
Biggest advantage (not the only) of the Triade over the YiHi is the battery life. Yes, it's larger, but the form fits your hand well. It will also hold ridiculously large tanks without overhang if that matters. Both are excellent at temp control, but to get the most out of the DNA board, spending a bit of time with the eScribe PC software to customize your setup is a really good idea. And if you're into playing around with that the possibilities of vaping amusement and software is loads of fun.
I believe the Triade was the only 3 battery mod on your list. One other advantage on it is 2A charging, which on a 3 battery mod, is quite helpful. And as it was originally designed for Lipo use, the charging is extremely reliable and properly balanced. My DNA mods are the only ones I really trust to charge via usb.
If you end up getting surprised with the YiHi, you're also getting a superb mod, slightly different featured, but with it's own benefits. Either way, happy birthday!

I think if that were my list, I'd hope for the Triade.... that joystick dealy on the G class seems like something that would really bug me.
Thanks Clark and Eskie. After sleeping on it i'm favoring the Triade purely because of battery life. The batteries in my RX2/3 don't last long at all so a two battery mod need a lot of battery changing which puts me off the YiHi.

I've also had a Wismec Predator and apart from the 510 issue (which I luckily haven't experienced) its a solid mod

Thank you. Just playing with them now and like them both so far. The Triade seems to fire completely differently to my RX2/3. I was getting some burnt hits on a tired coil with the RX2/3 which i'm not using the Triade even at a higher wattage which is a bonus.
