Hi all me again, newbie here and have a quick question for those with experience!

Im planning on treating myself to a good mod as a reward to myself if i stay cig free for a month. However theres so many i dont know where to start. I have watched just about every review on youtube and still cant decide.
So i thought if i list the features i do and do not like, then those with wiser heads may point me to one that suits??

So here goes

Likes; variable voltage, variable wattage, The Ability to shorten the device (by removing a piece or what have you) customisation (skins, vanity rings etc)

Dislikes; box mods, mods that are just a bit to bulky (like lava tube bulky)

Thats about it.

Hope i can narrow it down ;-)

since you are looking at VV/VW you are going to be limited to the "bulky" size (22mm dia).
Also, telescoping mods usually run in the 22mm dia.
There are thinner mods that have VV only ( eGo twist / spinners)
but if you want affordable VV/VW telescoping, I would suggest a SVD by iTaste.
There are a multitude of tank styles to choose from, the thinner type I like is the CE8 and the 22mm dia tanks I am fond of are the Kayfun 3.1 clone and the RSST, but both require you to make your own wick/coil, can be tedious but the Vaping experience is wonderful...

I have been on all sides of the argument and so far a full Mechanical mod is my favorite. ( I work with electronics so building it all is fun for me)
Also, it has the greatest customization capabilities.

eVic is also a very nice route to go for all of your likes, its a bit bulky but you can buy a smaller battery (life will be shorter, duh!) but it will make it pretty slim and they have nice colored tanks/mouth pieces for this!

Hope you have fun either way, just fyi, full mech mod like mine can be purchased for around 90 bucks (or cheaper offline if you get a cheaper off brand styles) and the eVic is around the same I believe. Was a lot more expensive when I first purchased it :p

OK - google fu -found some good images showing sizes.
Image 1 Lavatube is on the far left and vamo immediately right of it. Vamo is bigger than lava. SVD is a great mod but in 18350 mode its a little bigger than my lavatube and in extended 18650 mode its just huge. 2nd photo shows an SVD next to the beastly 134.

I am only looking to show you the size and bulk of the PVs you are mentioning. I dont want you to pick and expect something and be surprised by its size.

Hope this helps some!

The Provari is probably the best choice, though I like the price of the Vamo v5. I don't have either, but like you I'm looking too.

I don't own a Provari yet. I will when I can get in on a good COOP and try to save some chedder. I do own a Vamo V5. I do like it, but it can get finicky with Protank 2 (PT2). I changed the base on my PT2, to an aero base and that solved the problem. The tank would have to be slightly unscrewed to permit airflow. This made it wobbly on the Vamo, and I was worried about damaging the threads. The base fixed that, and gave me excellent control on my draw. I have a SID coming tomorrow, which is in the same price range as a Vamo, but only has a 4 amp limit, no problem for me, and a single button menu system.

Im warming to the idea of something slightly chunkier. I would certainly consider the vv v3 at a later date but its to ego style atm for me. I want a change just not box mods i guess. Btw this is great thanks so much for the suggestions im getting somewhere now.
So for me the i taste vv v3 and the svd are out so far. Thats two down

Hey boss, good day i hope?

I am going to go right out and recommend not the Provari, but the Provari mini. It offers a bit more customization in terms
Of mod length. Its a standard 22mm device but the mini is aout 5/8inch shorter than the full size.

I just ordered the stock extender cap from provape and it holds an 18490 as opposed to an 18350. Much longer battery life. They have many color variations as well.
If the extender for the bigger batt isnt enough, you can order an after market cap from like GRmodders or Tatroe and give it an 18650. This offers many more options than the standard size because you have the option of 3 sizes to choose from.

For a topper id recommed a good cartotank like an IBTanked 22mm tank with ProRing to give you that flush, one piece look. LokiLabs aslo has a great setup thats a bit pricier but looks better IMO. I think theyr still outa stock tho..

If their stock colors dont flatter you , consider the new hybrid colors or the zombie edition.
They also offer limited edition colors like crimson red. Their site has a comprehensive wrap selection as well, offering furter customization. If thats not your fancy, Jwraps is a good place to look for a wrap that suits you. Literally endless options!

If you want something to last, provari offers a clear cut choice.
It swill last years as opposed to months like most VV devices on the market. Most, but not all. There are a few gems out there,
But honestly provape is just the strongest in terms of repairs, build quality, and longevity.

If you have questions, my recent thread is chock full of info on why the provari is still worth it and why people love it. I give a detailed look as to why its more expensive than most commercially available APVs out there. Hope i gave some help!
