Dislikes; box mods, mods that are just a bit to bulky (like lava tube bulky)

Oh dear. I'd better bow out of this thread.

Maybe you should find *something* you like the look of and let us suggest another few alternatives.

Have you seen an L-rider "Robust"..?

Robust by L-Rider

that's midway between the fatness of a Spinner and a Lavatube.

It looks quite thin almost like an ego?? I appologize for not being specific with size and styles at first. I needed to thrash this one out a bit. From this thread and sifting through the info you all have given me I can say that i quite like the provari, vamo v5, the sid, Im comming round to the lava tube and im open to suggestion on other similar style devices. I didnt like the i taste range so much cant pin point why, just didnt do it for me

Oh and by the way sorry scratch that lava tube thing u quoted me on. I totally miss judged its size. I seen a review
Somewhere and was under the impression it was a monster!

It's all good Tom. All I would say is don't buy a Lavatube over a Vamo or SID or Zmax. Read my signature...what is missing? I have one, but it's not the way to go.

Mod is something you have to hold in your hand throughout the day. I strongly suggest you try them out in your local shops.
Flashy look gets old pretty fast. Build quality should be more important than the look and that can't be experienced by looking at the pictures. This is why most pros will talk about the quality of thread, feel of button, and how they simply feel in their hand.

If you don't have access to local shop and time to look around, you can't go wrong with Provari. (emphasis on "can't go wrong")

If you don't want to mess around with kid toys, the Futura DNA30 by NexGen Vapor became available today. Provari like but a tad taller, VW device that will accept down to a .5 ohm build with up to 30 watts of power, for when you learn to build. Might as well get the latest and greatest if you are going to get a quality regulated device, like the Provari, it is American made and comes with a 1 year warranty. Has a adjustable center pin and can be used with a 16490 or 16650 IMR button top battery.

Vape long and Prosper!!

Zeroohms thats a very good point. My nearest shop that sells mods an hour away in dublin, was there on sunday and ran into a nice guy with a provari! That thing is heavy!! Anyways after a nice bit of research last night, i think i quite like the looks and functionality of the segelei zmax v3. What are peoples thoughts on this device?? I quite like it in the gunmetal .. Very stealthy B-)

You should take a look at the Semovar. It supports more modern features than the ProVari such as variable wattage, modular design, ability to provide air flow with flush fit devices and the ability to run as a hybrid with a Kayfun. Build quality is generally taken to be on par with the ProVari.

The ZMax is a nice device but not in the class of the other devices. For a Chinese mod, it's one of the better ones though I personally prefer the Vamo.

Hey tom, like I said before. Your best bet given what you want to do is to buy the provari. That way the bottom battery area is sorted and you won't have to worry about it for years to come. Then if you feel like collecting things you can change the top part, get yourself a carto tank, Genny atomizer, and a dripper. I'd suggest doing some more research.

Actually that should be "can be used with a 18650, 18500 or 18350 button top battery." ;)

I'm getting ready to order mine. :) NexGen Futura | The Utimate DNA 30 Ecig

I have mods with vv/vw and the Provari with vv and the Provari is still the best out of all of them. I haven't had to mess with the voltage like I have with the others. Even when setting the wattage on the others I still had to change it when using different heads and juice, just saying. I really hope that whatever you decide on you will have a long relationship with and enjoy it fully. Happy Vaping!
