+1 on the futura if the price of the provari didn't make you run. I got into vaping about a year ago with an e-power. I quickly realized that wasn't what I wanted when I tried a VV device so I got an ego T. I once again quickly regretted that decision because of battery life. So I got a Vamo 2. Fast forward to now and I want something that will fire below 1.5 ohms while keeping my vv/vw. So I am going with a futura. You never know what you'll want in the future so instead of following my path I would say just get the futura first.

Ugh, hit the wrong button and lost the whole post... let me paraprase it now ...... (grabs a vape) :vapor: ahh k.
1) agreed, no better mod than provari for VV.
2) Not my favorite for RBA because of limited potential wattage.
3) Airflow issues. If Dyson would have designed it I would understand the need for making an effective vaccum. Having some sort of airflow apparently completely eludes ProVape... But all in all still the best.

I've been using all EGO for the last 6 months. Bought my first APV yesterday (Mod sounds like diy stuff / after market.. why are the mass produced ones called Mods? if I was setting terminology I'd call the kick a mod, or that altoid box converted into a vaporizer...).
I settled on SiD. They look slick and seem to have pretty solid components for my price point (picked one up for $45). I didn't have the time to venture out to some local shops after investing as much time as I did in reading reviews and watching videos. Would have probably gone provari if it was in the budget :)
It shipped today, so I cant give you any feedback on it.. other than I'm anxious to play with it next week!

Actually that should be "can be used with a 18650, 18500 or 18350 button top battery." ;)

I'm getting ready to order mine. :) NexGen Futura | The Utimate DNA 30 Ecig

Yeah but I don't own any 18350 batteries, lol, pretty much worthless for high watt vaping, and Evolv specifies a 7 amp minimum, so finding an 18350 to power the Futura DNA30 would be problematic.

If you don't want to mess around with kid toys, the Futura DNA30 by NexGen Vapor became available today. Provari like but a tad taller, VW device that will accept down to a .5 ohm build with up to 30 watts of power, for when you learn to build. Might as well get the latest and greatest if you are going to get a quality regulated device, like the Provari, it is American made and comes with a 1 year warranty. Has a adjustable center pin and can be used with a 16490 or 16650 IMR button top battery.

Vape long and Prosper!!

The Futura is not in stock. Their site is a little misleading by listing it as "now available". You can place your order and pay now but they are waiting on chips like every other dna device maker. They do not stock any devices. They are built to order when they receive parts. Also, make sure and read through the nexgen/futura thread before you make your final decision.

The 7 amp minimum is for the DNA20. The DNA30 has a 12 amp minimum. You could buy a 18350 that is rated for 10 amp but it sure wouldn't last long.
