Hey guys, this is my first thread here. So, I have a 510 and I love it. Great throat hit, which is what i wanted to help quit smoking. I have not smoked in a month now and couldn't be happier. The thing is, now I'm really craving for that great taste everyone is talking about. It seems like my 510 has no flavor. What, in your opinion will give me the STRONGEST flavor and still give me a decent throat hit. I have probably 40 different flavors, and they all taste the same. Thanks guys!

In my experience I get better flavor out of dipping with the exposed atomizers, but I think any time you talk about flavor it is subjective and depends on other factors. A lot of people also seem to like the flavor from the 901. I would suggest that if you want a cheap way to see if you think exposed atomizers give you better flavor, buy a 306 atomizer and use it on your 510 batteries. Its not as exciting as buying a whole new kit but it will only cost you between $6-$10 depending on where you order and if you hate it you won't have a lot other batteries hanging around.

I use a 510 with stronger flavors like coffee and chocolate from JC. A 510 runs hotter; more vapor and throat hit, but less flavor. A 901 runs a little cooler and gives more flavor. Try Nhaler liquids, or mixing your own with double the flavor. I think it's the EcigSmokeStore that makes a lot of different flavors with double flavor shots.

Agree with Island Refuge.... "stronger flavors" - Janty's cappuccino and RY's, JC's old flavor Hawaiian Kona and their Tennessee Cure. Most tobacco flavors light up with the 510, Habana Reserve, Absinthe, Black Currant, even tiramisu - non sweets from Decadent Vapours do well. Nhalers Nuport (menthol), USA Tobacco, Hilton, Kent, Flue Cured from heaven gifts/eastmall. Most all of Nhalers high voltage/double strengths and the same 2x from myfreedomsmokes.

The sweet fruity flavors are better in my cooler running Janty Stick and the auto batt for the 510. Coconut and vanilla do well in both.

Usually in the evenings when I have the least flavor from my 510 I will put on a 306 atomizer with 510 battery and drip. Thats what I'm using right now. It brings the flavor out better than the 510 and I still have the throat hit and vapor. If the 306 had larger easier to refill carts for when I'm out and about I would just forget the 510 atomizers and go 306.

For me, the 801 rules for flavor. Using one of the low bridge attys is the best (BE112, 302, RN4072, etc.). I also like the fact that I'm not diddling around with refilling or dripping every few hits like the 510, 901 and 401.

For note, I have a 401, 801, 901 and 510. Only strong flavors seem to do well for me on the 510 (coffee, cappuccino, tobaccos) and other flavors can get an odd burned out taste on this. That never happens on the 801 unless I have it on my 5v passthrough.

Thanks Hellen. you give me lots to think about now. I have heard the 801 is really nice too. Any suggestions on where to pick one up? I know they are everywhere but do you know of any great deals going on?

I'll have to pick up a few 306 atomizers and try them out. I actually really liked the idea if dipping instead of dripping. i have not heard of a 306 yet though. Where do they sell them and are they too called something else like every other device out there? haha

As far as I know the other name for the 306 is the Janty minifogger. It doesn't seem to get the clever renaming treatment like some of the other models. It also isn't as easy to find but check out:

I do! It isn't a cool black one... it is white (but you can strip off the finish to look silver, lmk if you want the link to the directions).

Chad is on the ECF Supplier's forum, located in Arizona. $34.99 penstyle $6 for 801 attys (special on red ones for $4.99) and $9 for 801 batteries. Fast shipping, nice guy.

Let me know what you think of the RY1. It is another example of how subjective tastes can be since I have heard people describe it as sweet and I don't taste any sweetness at all. I thought I got a strange batch or maybe Im crazy, but I have seen other people say it tastes like popcorn so who knows. All those RYs are a mystery IMO.

You're right. More than any flavor, reviews for RY4 are all over the place. And the subjective aspect of taste/flavor - compounds that. I found that Elendil (where did he go...) and JustJulie, both liked Janty's RY4, as do I, so I can get some indication of other flavors from them and so far that has worked.

My take on RY2 - smokiest; RY3 - more of the caramel/butterscotch/vanilla up front - similar to dekang/heaven gifts/eastmall's ruyan#4; RY4 - a balance between the smokey piney and the caramel, etc. So, if someone else tastes the same things, they just might like my other favorites - Janty's Cap. Decadent Vapours - Habana Reserve and JC's old formula of Tennessee Cure. And I'd be interested in their other favorites :)

... i have said it before and i will say it again , filling empty cartomizers with my own juice produces the best flavor i have ever had.

Gosh diddly darn it GrimmGreen, stop it already. I have found the gear I like and have pretty much given up on carts, but all the buzz about the cartomizers has me thinking about experimenting again. Is Eastmall's DPv9 an OK entry into the cartomizer world? I don't suppose you can clean out the batting on a cartomizer to get the factory fill junk out of there can you?

BTW I should mention that I think the 401 is really the flavor master, but it is such a love it or hate it kit and IMO a dipping only set up that I usually tell folks with the 510 to try a 306 atomizer first (think the 306 probably does better for vapor and throat also although I am very curious to see what the 401 does on manual batteries).
