Another mistake that I made was in trying to use the twists until they were dead before switching to the backup.
What this did for me was lowering the quality of the vape. But being new, as long as I was getting the nic dosage I was ok.
In the back of my mind I was looking at the longevity and getting the most for my $$$.
Now after the flavor and vapor production changes, I'll switch to the secondary twist.

wow, ive had plenty of mistakes early on and even now. currently my juice company is hit and miss and i only vape 1 juice so i need plenty on hand and i ran out. early on this would of been bad for me as id of probably ran for a smoke but being off them for almost 2 years now that thought hasnt crossed my mind.
i started with a decent no brand gas station ecig and used it happily for about 4 months and only really looked for something else because i was burning through the little flavored cartos faster and faster.
i got an ego-t and was happy and thought i was uptown...til i went to a vape meet up and saw so many different mods and figured i should try the mall and i darn near did and the wife about kicked me out, lol. so after 2 years what do i have? 2 provaris and a bottomfeeder ignis mod and im happy with them. the provari is so reliable that i often wonder if and why i even have a backup other than to switch colors. ive also gone full circle in vape gear from the ego-t system to cartos for a short time, to attys and dripping to rebuildables and happily back to cartos with kir fanis tanks, this is easier for me and totally hassle free with great flavor. im not a person that likes to fiddle with wicks and coils even though they can produce great flavor if you do it right.

i have dropped my Silver bullet on the floor and smashed the tank. I dropped one in Walmart never to be seen again but use metal tanks now on one for taking to work. And i had to get my REO repaired when i fused and melted the switch because i assumed all 18650 batteries were the same size and didn't just buy the recommended ones when i bought the device.
I have spilled countless tanks of juice on my pants - but usually only at home thankfully, where the only ridicule i suffer is from my long-suffering wife!

I was introduced to vaping when a local store began selling Njoy Kings disposable e-cigs. For me, the realization that I could replace smoking with something relatively harmless lit a fire under me to research and get started on a more affordable solution asap, especially considering I've already had a run in with cancer this year (not lung cancer). I think I did pretty good. I found this forum, read and watched many videos, and ended up picking the Vamo with ego clearomizers. I'm not picky yet. Just ready to start feeling my lungs heal after years of abuse from smoking and elated that I can get satisfaction without the same (if any) harm.

I use to smoke about 30 cigs a day, Salem Slim Light 100s. In the past year I managed to cut back to between 5-12 cigs a day, depending on what I was doing.

First mistake that I've noticed..
The first juices I ordered with my device were 30 ml Vanilla and 15 ml Menthol, both Hangsen, both 18 mg. I love vanilla bean ice cream, so assumed vanilla would be my favorite. Wrong. I find it disgusting and will keep it as backup for times when I may run out and just need anything but a real cig. I should not have ordered big bottles.

The menthol is pretty good and more like what I'm use to. Do most newbs have to start off with flavors that are closer to the cigs they're use to? What mistakes have you made that wasted your money?

Mistake was not finding this site earllier...could have saved me $$$$.

Finding 2 flavors i liked, i think i lucked out, one was a sample and so yummy, then going well I like coffee, i drink it all day long so lets buy a big freaking bottle of mocha... it is so bad... so so bad, like make me gag I cant vape it at all bad. So now I have just order like 9 bottles of samples. I have my fall back tobacco flavor that is okay and keeps my nicotine addiction happy so that I dont want to smoke. I am still looking for a staple flavor.

I spent about 3 weeks lurking on various forums to make sure I'd wrapped my head around the lingo enough and then ordered what I thought was a pretty solid starter kit. Two 650 mAh twists, a couple T2's (with various resistance replacement heads), vivi nova, 10mL of three different flavors of juice. I was totally psyched to get everything put together and try it out!

I realized about an hour after I started vaping that I'd forgotten to order a charger.

Hi there welcome!,

Wow...to be begin with, as a newbie like you, i continue to make some dastardly mistakes.....so here it goes (although some are subjective and personal, i still consider them my mistakes!)

1. China made juices! (no waaaaaaaayyyyy)
2. Spare batteries (my only spare just didnt fire! and boy was i edgy that day and immediately invested in some good branded batteries that just lasts)
3. Spare tank (a dropping incident)
4. Spare carto's (just incase if your carto floods)
5. When exploring new juices, always buy the smallest quantity you can.....the idea here is to test it.....and not to assume that your taste buds of the past physical item would be in direct relation to the ejuice that you're gonna have...a.k.a "they're not all the same"

Thats about it from me!

Big Mistake was buying the Darwin and Provari and look alike cigarette e-cigs
also wasting money on the accessories which never get used and sit in the draw

and on Dec 15th to HealthCabin:

Will you be getting in ...
the 400mAh Vision eGo Spinner Variable Volt Battery soon?

Seriously, mate? a 400 mAh battery, and you complain beyond your experience? Perhaps you could flip them for a few shillings profit.

So far my biggest mistake was using my backup system at the same time as my normal system to try a new flavor, both batteries went dead at the same time. Had to wait about three hours before I could vape again. I will NEVER do that again. I thought I have lurked here enough to avoid all the mistakes, but because I didn't listen to the advice given I had to pay the price (I almost picked up the pack in my office to go out and smoke an analog).
