Another thread got me thinking about this. For me it was accidentally running into a Pbusardo review on youtube. I was a smoker for 17+ years, during that time I have unsuccessfully tried just about every method to quit, hypnosis, patch, chantix, even the kooky staple in the ear thing. Nothing worked. I watched Mr. Busardo's review, then another and another. And before I knew it, it was two a.m. in the morning and I was sitting in bed submitting the payment for my very own mod. Watching his reviews, how much he enjoyed it and just how tongue in cheek he was about it, just clicked with me and convinced me to give it a shot. My last smoke was while I was opening up my shiny new mod. 8 days and counting and not single cheat. Thank you Mr. Busardo!

I only smoked for a little over 3 years, but all of my friends who didn't smoke hated it. I knew it was time to just quit since i have been trying on and off for a couple months. So a few weeks ago i went out with some of my buddies who all smoked a ton, and one of them pulled out a VAMO and was like, "dude, try this out. Me and my girlfriend haven't touched a cigarette in a few weeks". He was vaping Vermillion's Maplewood blend. And oh my it was good. So as soon as I woke up the next morning i went to our local tobacco store and bought a cheap little starter kit and 3 juices for like 50 bucks. (wasn't nearly as good as the VAMO). So i knew i had to step up the game a bit. Last week i ordered an eVic and just received it friday, along with about 9 Vermillion juices. Have not touched an analog in about 2 or 3 weeks now.

Totally on a whim. I've smoked for 30 years and was starting to feel the effects. Figured we all have to die from something, but it was just so TIRING not being able to breathe well. Picking up a carton at my usual place, I noticed they had started carrying Blu disposables so I picked one up.

I figured if I can get my fix, don't really have to quit something I've enjoyed for more than half my life, and be healthier about it, then let's give it a shot.

It was interesting, and got me thinking this could be a viable alternative, although the Blu left plenty to be desired. Found some threads on ECF via google, read some reviews of the eRoll and off I went. Within 24 hours had no interest in smoking. That's not the end of the story, it's been a bumpy road for me--but that's how I started.

I tried the disposables a few years back and didn't last a day, it tasted like crap, didn't curb the craving and I felt like a tool smoking it in public with the blinky red light and all. I like how much control I have vaping. The juice choices are limitless, Mods for days, VV, VW, etc. With smoking, the cigs controled me, now I'm in the drivers seat and it's pretty damn empowering.

Thanks for sharing your stories everyone. Mine is fairly similar to others. Tried an Njoy style e-cig about six months ago and lasted all of a day. It did little to curb the craving and wasn't enjoyable. The only good that came out of it was a friend of mine tried it that day as well.

Fast forward to April 30th of last month, and that same friend came over to hang out along with his new Ego Twist. He mentioned that after trying the Njoy months earlier, he felt it could be a viable option but that it wasn't satisfying enough. After doing some research he settled on the Twist and had been smoke free since. The next day I purchased a Twist from a kiosk in the mall... at 2:30pm to be exact, and haven't smoked a cigarette since.

I owe a huge thank you to my friend for his perseverance. And a HUGE thank you to everyone here, and all who came before us that helped build such a wonderful forum and community. It's pretty incredible.

Hey Nicademus,

I was surprised to discover last Thursday that Nic Station is carrying evods and protanks (branded!) now. They sell the protank for $25, but I was still impressed that a mall kiosk has genuine branded stuff besides the eRoll. Just in case you didn't know. :)

I, like many have tried a few different e-cig devices and they have all been horrible. I paid big money for the first two as well (over 100 bucks each). They were horrible and the only refills you could get had to come from the manufacturer, no "flavors" or variety of any kind, and mucho expensive.

On to vaping- the security guard that works nights at my hospital walks around with a provaris around his neck. He also has a Vamo in his pocket. When I saw him pass the smoking pit outside I had to stop him to ask what it was that was making so much "smoke" (vapor). He used terms I had never heard of before like "throat hit" and "vaping experience", explained the whole liquid refill over the old cartridge refills and the money it saves, etc. Needless to say I was absolutely hypnotized that the things I had gave up on years ago have come around in such a way that it might actually work for me.

And here I am, praying that it does.

A buddy at work walked into the shop, and he had a twist in his hand and was blowing out plumes of smoke, as I enquired he quickly brought me up to speed and a week later I was Vapeing on my own joyetech 510 ciga like of which I insisted on.... I insisted on many things but within a couple of weeks was buying mods devices etc etc etc...

I'll forever be grateful to my bud, for what he has done for me. TY Vintage Rider.

I tried an ecig from the mall a few years back. It was terrible. I tried the patch, gum, chantix(comes with nightmares)etc. In December2012 I bought the ego starter kit and vaped until the batteries no longer held a charge. Now I have a Provari,And Sidewinder from Skoktech.I am 6 months analog free. My doctors have asked me to quit for years now. I am Diabetic, and have an Arythmia. I am so glad that ecigs have come far in technology. When I hang with my smoking friends they allways ask me for a Light. I do not have a Light any more. I carry no lighter, matches any more. And my body thanks me every day for not smoking analogs. Vape On!

My brother insisted I try his pv several months ago. He sent me links to myvaporstore.com so I could see what it all would cost. He sent me links to ECF. Yeah. Uh huh. I'll get right on that. My step-daughter walked in to a brick and mortar and bought herself a pv. Hmmm....maybe there's something to this. Two people I know have tried this and claim it works. I figured I may have to try this thing out. The rest is history ....

For me it was a long overdue burning desire to quit analogs and a 'blu' ecig ad on TV... Should have done a little more research before I stopped at our local B&M where the proprietor has no real clue on what ecigs are all about... To him they're just another product and one type is as good as the other... Took me a while (and many dollars) to get to where I'm at, but considering I haven't had a real cig in 5 months I'll still say it was all worth it... :)

Ran into a friend up at the cottage who previously had lottsa serious health issues and looked like death warmed over. I saw him and he looked GREAT. Color in his face and a bounce in his step. He told me about vaping and when i returned home I researched and found ECF. I'm eternally grateful to him and have since bought he and his wife Kgo stater kits. I also happily and gratefully supply ALL their juice for life. The friend...his GP, Surgeon and Specialists are all amazed at how greatly his health has improved. Previously he was on about 10 diff pills per day and is now completely Meds free

The good ol' Nic Station. I'm impressed as well. That kiosk will forever go down as the place "it all started" for me. More expensive, sure, but the convenience is hard to beat.

Thank you for the heads up.
