I have had mine since they came out, using multiple RTA and RDA atyy's. IMO, RTA's are VERY hit and miss, they just were not designed with Ni200 coils in mind. They can work, and work very well, but they can be equally frustrating.

RDA's are easier to work with and easier to make corrections on when something get off. My personal favorite RDA is the Holmes V2. With Ni coils, you are going to have bigger coils, there is just no way around it. With my Holmes, I can build a 14wrap 26g coil that fits beautifully in the 2 post design. A 2 post designed RDA is the key to sanity, it keeps everything simple and minimizes one of the biggest reasons good coils go bad, the leg length.

Start with single coil. Some peeps are doing fine with dual coil, and others are saying its a pain. I can't comment on that as I've just recently ventured into temp protection myself.

I would think mosr RDAs have a stable enough deck that they will work well.

RTAs: I'm using an Erlkonigin with no issue. I also think these would work well: Taifun, Prometey, Ataman II, Aga t5, Lemo, Rose v2. Some are having no problem with the Kayfun 4 and others are due to the spring. I suspect the eXpromizer would be a poor choice due to the spring loaded 510 pin. I also suspect attys with tiny decks could be difficult to use nickel with, but might be fine with titanium.

Kayfuns.... not so good with Ni coils. For temp limiting to work correctly there are a few things that you need to consider, two of the most important are juice supplied to the wick and airflow. Both of those the Kayfuns (prior version 4) have in sort supply. Without ample juice and airflow the coil will heat up quickly with no way to cool it down, meaning you are going to reach your set temp fast, resulting in a less than satisfying vape.

Well I 2nd what Roxy has already started. I prefer to go after the RTAs that have a similar deck setup as a kayfun (not the mini 4 hole rda post). I've had no issue coiling a kayfun that I have, lite to be precise so an older type. Worked completely fine and still cant get into its tight draw. I do also have an Orchid v4 which has the mini 4 post deck that I want to make an attempt with, will use probably 30g for it as well.
