What ribbon kanthal to get?

Hi, i was wondering whats the difference in .8 x .1 ribbon and .8 x .2 in vaping wise? Trying to decide which one to get? any help would be helpful.

I know the .2 is double in thickness , but how would the .1 do in difference?

If it helps and I'm not sure if it does, I've been using .5mmx.1mm with great results. I'm not really sure how that would translate to your two options but if I had to choose I'd go with the .8x.1 since I can't see how having it twice the thickness would help with wick coverage.

you have a point there, .5x.1 is like 32awg right?

For a point of reference 3/4 wrap of 32 kanthal used to give me a ohm reading of about 1.6 or so. The ribbon with the same 3/4 wrap is giving me an ohm reading of exactly 1.0. Its tough for me to really play around because I use an orion v2.1 and its a pretty small wick and post, so can only squeeze in so many wraps.

I would go for the .1 due to much less wire mass for amount of exposed surface.

Kanthal Round wire equivalent:

.5x.1mm = 30g round A1
.8X.1mm = 28g round A1
.8x.2mm = 25g round A1

In general:
.8x.1mm works well on Mechanicals
.5x.1mm works well on VV/VW

I bought about 60 feet of the .3 x .1, now just waiting for vapemail from greece.

I ended up going with the .5mm from Greece. Wished it didn't take so long to get here.
