OK, so I just spent the last 30 min. looking at this site that DonDaBoom had posted in another thread. e-Cigarette modifications | e-Savuke.com It looks like it covers just about every big batt mod out there. Your husband can get anything from a pipe bomb to a doubble barrel shotgun. Surely he can find something to his liking from there.

Nice site, thanks for the link optsmk.

Lol, wow. I REALLY appreciate all the help here!

Ok, in talking to him more, he loved the 401s, not a big fan of the 402s. So who has the 401 manuals in stock? The Chinese New Year is killing everything off :p
Modern Vapor-sidesho is a 401 I believe. I can't speak highly enough of Tony the owner. Nope, don't work there, just great customer service. Takes me 3 days to get my stuff!

Show him the revolver at revolvercig the elite is a 40x model..the gemini is a 510 model..both come with a PCC...the bummer is with the elite kit the batteries are white but they have extra batteries for it in chrome with green LED and black batteries with white LEDs.. some people seem to like the revolvers from what I've seen posted

I guess it's because I don't mess much with the cartos that it looks like extra work. I know he just likes to drop a bit of liquid on the cart and go, so I think he's looking at cartos as extra time he won't have when he's on a quick smoke break at work. The Revolver definitely has a sexy look to it though, I'll have to point that out to him. Thanks for point it out to me too!

No problem..while it's not my first choice...my personal first choice is the eGo..but if he doesn't like 510 atties that wouldnt work...so I shot for what you asked for a 40x model, exposed wick, and a pcc..and the pcc has a nice look to it, that's what would sell me if I were into that model..the black with white LED batteries look slick too, as do the chromes..

I have a 510 and then got a Tornado shortly after... love them both, but I found the carts to be a bit annoying to refill. I recently got some 808 cartos to try out (with an adapter for my 510 batteries), and I have to say I'm surprised how easy they are to fill... on top of which they hold more juice than the standard 510 carts.

Personally, I've found I like the hit off the 510 better, just feels like a smoother and cleaner vape to me, but obviously that's subjective ... but my point is don't make the mistake of thinking cartos are a pain to mess with. I was convinced they were going to be a hassle, but they're suprisingly easy to refill and use. He could easily take two with him to work and not have to mess with refilling at all throughout the day. Honestly, for a "quick smoke break at work" I think cartos might be easier to use than regular carts.

Just my 2 cents.

In terms of the KR808/VaporKing I just wanna second how much easier it is... Using the 'condom' method the cartomizer can be refilled in seconds, and having a two piece design is easier for beginners in my opinion (and still being one!).

Ultimately he will need to choose between battery life and 'looking like an analog' / having a PCC, and will probably go for a mod like most here seem to. ;)

The revolver performance is only marginally better then the blu.

If he likes the 401, then he will love the SideSho. It's exactly the same size as a 401, but with better performance, and comes with a sweet PCC. You can also get a 20% discount using the 20ecf coupon code at checkout. That knocks the cost down to $60 which is a great value.

Tony, the owner, has fast shipping, and is top notch with customer service, frequently talking to people on the phone to answer any questions.
Here's the website. The Sidesho
Also, check out the ModernVapor - E-Cigarette Forum to see what others think about the Sidesho.

I emailed the people about the Gemini on the Revolver site, and they said it was actually a 510, so wouldn't that make it loads better than a Blu? I thought the Sidesho was just another Blu? Or am I getting those confused with another one?

I was referring to the original revolver. I think it's called the elite. Also, the Sidesho is definitely not a blu clone. The only thing they really have in common, is the blu atty's fit on the Sidesho batteries, but the Sidesho performance absolutely crushes the blu in every way, and is even a bit better then my old favorite, the 401.
Something else to think about if you are considering the Gemini kit from the revolver site. Have a look at the ModernVapor 902. It's a fantastic unit that equals the 510 in performance, but has much more flavor. Your boyfriend won't be disappointed, and with the 20% coupon code I gave you earlier, it's $15 less then the Gemini. :)

the Revolver and Sideshow are not parts-compatible with the original M401. Most e-cigs that come with PCCs have very short battery life as their batteries are designed to be recharged in the pack after each use.

MyFreedomSmokes, LiteCig(dot net), and a few others carry the M401. Alternately, you can order an Intellicig EVO, which is also a 401 model.

The original M401 is produced by the factory called Smoore.

The atomizer you want to focus on buying is the original Smoore or EVO that has white porcelain bridge under a wide mesh bridge. Litecig has the x-tra capacity cart/inserts that are similar to the EVO cart/inserts. The inserts will last forever; any mouthpiece will brittle up after about a month of use. Just checked and Litecig has the 401's and accessories instock, MyFreedom is out of stock until 3/10.

Ancidotially, in over six months of daily use (16 hours, running 3 e-cigs per day @2x charge each per day), I've run thru 5 batts and zero atomizers, giving a net monthly equipment cost of just under $10/mo. YMMV

I was in the same boat as him. I kept getting frustrated with the products out there. I've been using TW's Tornado(Janty EGO) for 2 weeks straight and no problems. I'm a heavy vapor, I fill the carts probably 3 times a day and usually drip when I get home from work. My battery will last all day before it needs recharging. Hopefully this will help you out.

As a side note, I was thinking of telling him to look into a Tornado from Totally Wicked, but after looking through their subforum, there seems to be a LOT of issues with the customer service... Any thoughts?

Get the eGo at Janty. Same exact thing but better warranty and great customer service
