I realize this is a pretty blunt question that many of you have probably had to answer many times already, but I am interested in purchasing my first "e-cig" and I am lost as to what kind/brand I should buy. I want to buy something that looks like a real cig (aka: not the "penstyle") but it seems that many of these models are junk. Are there any good/reliable/affordable ones that anyone would recommend? Thanks!

Reliable doesn't come into it. If you have read through some of the forum posts you will see that batteries and atomizers will have to be replaced.

There was talk of a "cig" looking device that had a better battery life but I cannot recall which one it was.

Someone else will soon chime in with more info.

Welcome and good luck!

Edit. Maybe a white 901 with orange led would do for starters, but it is a bit larger than the super mini's.

If you want something that looks like a real cig then the EVO is for you. Electronic Cigarettes, Stop Smoking, Electric Cigarette, E Liquid, Alternative. Have a look around the forum, you will find it is very highly recommended.

I personally use the Smoke51 product and have had great success and enjoyment with their use.

I too, when looking into a "cigarette style" electronic cigarette, was impressed with their design, and especially in the 2 piece set up with disposable cartridges that contained the atomizer. Meaning, I had a new atomizer system each time I changed the cartridge.

I have also found that I can "drip" the Smoke51 cartridge with e-juice to both extend their use and to obtain more flavours which was a huge plus for me.

You'll find them to be the most expensive of the bunch, but you pay for that convenience as well as the style. So, if your set on "that" type of unit I can honestly suggest you try them as I have.

If you review this forum you'll also find what appears to be a lot of good user reviews of the pen styles. Users of those types claim better vapour, hit, and taste, but I cannot comment on that as I have not yet tried anything else.

And if Smoke51 continues to treat me as they have to date with any questions I have had, and a decently quick product delivery, I may never bother to try anything else.

Thats my personal 2 cents (and I guess a plug for the '51, lol), and I suspect others will chime in with their opinions shorty.

Vape On,
Greg

I would recomend the Janty minifogger, it's like $50
Looks, feels, hits like a real cig, (round mouth piece to boot)

As far as reliable.....
Both my atomisers messed up within 2 weeks, but they sent me 2 brand new ones before I sent the old ones back, I had them in 2 days
I've been using these replacements for 3 weeks and they are better, no problems.

Nothing is reliable, but Janty has the best customer service and the best waranty, minifogger atomisers are gauranteed for 6months!!!!!
These other places you might get 3 months, if any waranty at all

Also order a bottle of RY4

If you want something that looks like a real cig then the EVO is for you.

For your first cig I would stay away from the stuff from China or the UK

Check out Janty USA or Puresmoker, they are in the USA, good customer service, and they are always on this post.

the cigs at puresmoker all have a flat (whistle) style mouthpiece
The ones at Janty all have round style

When you said you didn't want the pen style, I didn't know if you were talking about size or the shape of the mouthpiece.

Order from either of those sites you can't go wrong
