So I've been loving my Mechs for about 6 months or so (hcigar Nemesis and more recently a Panzer Black Hawk Clone) but now I've been toying with the idea of a High Wattage Regulated mod.

I was thinking of getting the Cloupor T8 (150W) that's coming out since it's only 100$. I was also thinking of the Cloupor T6 (100W). I know sigelei has a 100W mod, and I know of the IPV 50W.

I'm just not sure what I should get.

Does anyone have any experience with High Wattage devices? I like both tube and box mods so style doesn't matter. Upgradable firmware is nice, but not a necessity. I usually do my builds from 0.8-1.0 (kayfun and Russian) and anywhere from .3-.7 on my drippers, so it needs to be able to handle subohm. With my normal 1ohm build on my kayfun, with a fresh battery in my Nemesis I get a decent vape, but lately I've been craving a more powerful one.

I need some input lol.

At 1 Ohm on your Kayfun, you're pulling 4.2A on a freshly charged 4.2V battery. That works out to a little under 18W. On your 0.3 Ohm dripper, you're pulling 14A on a 4.2V battery, which is around 59W. I could see maybe wanting to play around with a 100W mod, but 150W or higher? Are you really that disatisfied with almost 60W?

I've only done one .3 build on my dripper. It was definitely great. I usually stick with .5-.7 for it now though.

I'm more dissatisfied with my Kayfun builds. I did one build at 0.6, but the damn thing wouldn't wick fast enough to save it's life lol. More burnt than anything. 18w is definitely too low for me now. Not sure why either. I've been satisfied up until the last month or so. My batteries might be going bad, but I think I'm just used to the strength of the vape now.

-EDIT-
Forgot to add this, but I highly doubt I need 150w, but for 100$, I'll be over-prepared. I probably wouldn't use more than 75 watts, but if I need to I would have the extra power.

I'd be open to a 50W if I could find a GOOD one for cheap, but I honestly don't know how high I would be going. I just want to be satisfied again. I have been occasionally smoking my wife's cigarettes lately since I'm now unsatisfied with my vape. It's definitely not my Nic because I'm at 18mg and still had some 24 from a while ago. That gave me Nic High and was unpleasant.

I have an IPV2, I run .9Ohms and it blows clouds bigger than most people I know. and that's when I run it on 40w. 50w is just magical.

Big clouds are definitely a plus, but not specifically what I'm after right now. I just want to be satisfied again lol

I got in early on the Sigelei 100 watt box mod...

This
Thing
Is
AWESOME.

End of story. It is just AWESOME. And for 110 bucks you cant really go wrong. They are sold out all over the place but eciggity is where i would reccomend getting yours. Just put your email in so when they get stock you are the first to know and then snag one up.

Sigelei 100 Watt Box Mod - Eciggity

Again, this thing is awesome. Drives every dual / quad macro coil i have thrown at it with ease... Or just keep waiting... I hear the sigelei 200 watt chip is just around the corner...Though i cant see that one working well without some new batteries... Who knows. This field changes and advances so fast you cant hardly keep up one day to the next!

Happy vaping

I hear that. I had the same problem with my Kayfun clone at anything much above 12W. I ended up fixing it my drilling out the air hole and deepening the juice channels with a diamond burr. That improved the wicking and airflow a lot. Even better:

Get an Ehpro Big Buddha from fluidvapes.com. Use coupon code "pegasus" for an additional 5% off. For around $35 you'll get a 26650 kayfun style RBA with a dual-coil build deck, dual air flow, deep juice channels, and an all-glass tank. I bought one of those and I'm running it around .67 Ohms and can take lung hits all day long. If you're craving more nic, try it! It really is like vaping on two kayfuns at the same time.

Try the Big Buddha. Then look for a nice 26650 VW mod (I don't know if those exist, but it would be pretty cool if it did).

You can get a 26650 tube mod / adapter for the sigelei 20 watt and 30 watt tubes. And if he isn't really going over 18 watts then either of those are great mods, i have owned them both.

You can get the sigelei for under 100, then ebay the tube mod for another 18 bucks.

He definitely wants to go up to at least 50W, though. He probably doesn't want to go over 100W. I'm pulling 26W just using 0.67 ohms. It's not the battery extension tube he'd need with the big buddha, it's a 30mm VW mod that the big buddha would sit flush on. For example, a 2six mod, but with 50W regulated wattage.

Like the pioneer4you 7-30 tube mod that goes from 7-30W, except one that would go up to 50W or 100W.

Honestly, this is the one I've been leaning towards since I've heard some bad things about the Cloupor T5. Not saying they didn't improve everything with the T6 and 8, but don't want to risk throwing $100 away.

I might actually pick one up.

I will definitely try this out if I can't get what I want from throwing more Watts into my 0.8-1 ohm builds in my Kayfun. The airflow is good, but below .8 and it just can't wick fast enough, although I might try deepening the juice channels like you suggested.

That's the thing, I DO want to go over 18 watts. It just isn't satisfying anymore. I might actually pick up the Sigelei 100w, and start at 30W. If I need more power, I'll up it from there.

Yes, exactly. I think a 50w mod would be fine for me, but I don't want to have to buy another one later to use more power just to try it out. Like I said before, I think the Sigelei is calling my name.

Yeah, once i got up over needing 30 watts i just went right into box mods. Im currently on the sigelei 100 watt box mod and loving it. When i do quad macros and stuff on a plume or zenith i pull up into the 75 watt range but thats it. I have yet to ever actually use the full 100 watts. And i hear the 150 and 200 watt boxes are just around the corner. Cant fathom needing that much power (or having batteries that can actually do 200 watts)

I guess a-lot of this comes down to aesthetics as well. i personally never cared if a deck sat flush on my mod. Im a bit more about function over form. (and dollars to performance). But in a market as saturated as this one... There is quite literally something for everyone. No matter your desire.

Calling your name and everyone elses. No one can keep these in stock for more than a day. Head on over to ECiggity and put your email in the waiting list. And don't delay. The second they are in stock buy one. They sell out in under an hour.

Actually found 2 websites with it in stock. One was a personal favorite from my beginning days. Going to order it tonight when I get out of work.

-EDIT-
Guess I should post the links in case anyone else wants one.

This is the one I'm going through. In stock for 98.99 http://www.myvaporstore.com/Sigelei_100W_p/sig-100wb.htm

This is the other one I found. 109.99 (title says pre-order, but under the price it says "in stock") http://www.vapercompany.com/Sigelei-100W-BOX-MOD-p/a12100w.htm

eciggity added them back in stock this evening. I am tempted because it is available but I am in on the IPV3 pre-order waiting game.

Also if you use the code 10percentoff you get 10% off making it 98.99

I passed on the IPV. Many, MANY people are complaining about shoddy construction. Sticky buttons, the screws on the back stripping immediately. Not getting the rated wattage. The list goes on. Not to mention that weird contact button at the top. blegh.

Sigelei all the way. Maybe you can call or email them to get off the waiting list and get yourself the sigelei.

I hope my fanboy isn't showing too much lol

I can cancel but I am going to ride it out. I am tempted to add the Sigelei but I am resisting the temptation for now. There are some other mods I would like to add to the collection first. Did you have any issues with yours?

lol @ fanboy.

Not one problem I love it. In fact i love it so much i just bought a second sigelei 100 watt in black tonight for 98 bucks off myvaporstore.com. One for home one for... uh... home? Nah, seriously though, I love it. And i have owned other sigelei products over the years. the 20 watt tube the 30 watt tube and all of them have been rock solid. been dropped and banged up and still work as good as the day i got them. Usually chinese stuff is kinda chincy and has draw backs but this thing was designed with care and assembled very nicely. The threads are all smooth, nothing squeaks, you aren't there for 10 minutes trying to thread anything on. The back plate of the 100 is one of my favorite parts. It has STRONG magnets on the back so you can forgo the screws, i don't, but i did some banging around tests and the plate never came off. Another favorite is the buttons. Alot of box mods the buttons are either too hard or too soft, or get stuck under the plate if you push too hard. None of that. This thing is solid solid solid. The firing button and adjustment buttons are all just the right pressure. Ill probably sell off the second 100 watt box mod to a friend of mine... As i try to convert the entire world into drippers. You absolutely will not be disappointed by sigelei, especially the 100 watt box. It has a feeling in your hands, super solid, i have held the hana mods and other dna 30s and boxes and they are often too big or oddly cornered. And don't even get me started on the awful construction quality of these IPV boxes. Stripped screws, the 510 being all loose and at an angle... nah. Just junk.

now i KNOW my fanboy was hanging out there. Ill put it away.
