Yeah; vaping is definitely a YMMV kind of activity so it seems the best a person can do is ensure they're buying a device/juice that is of good quality, and then try it to see how it works for them. Some may say that's a bad thing, but some see it as an opportunity to geek out over gadgety things...I just might be part of the latter group
.
Well, cool! I'm glad you found that helpful and have narrowed down the options for your next direction. I'm pretty sure SI still has the CE3s in stock; seems like gotvapes has been having more difficulty keeping them available. And they can, in fact, be dry-burned and are also quite easy to clean. Having said that, I, and others, have had good results just refilling when empty and vaping on.
I'm gonna link to another good CE3 video, but be warned, it IS quite long and for that I apologize. Mr Outlaw has very thorough overview of the CE3 that covers filling, use, performance, and cleaning. It sounds like you're the kind of person who likes to tinker and try things, and this video covers a few different options for cleaning so you can kind of try out different things and see what works best for you. That's what I've done and found that, in my experience, not cleaning them is what has worked best for me. (Tried that on the recommendation of Mr Outlaw and others in the SI vendor forum when I was having some issues.)
As a bonus, here's a video by Lord Davon on the phoenix bottom-coil cartomizer that shows how you can completely disassemble them for cleaning and/or dry-burning in a way that lets you really see what's going on very well.
I hope everything works well for you, be sure to let everybody know how things go or if you have any problems/concerns, and happy vaping!
