It was in the early 2000's, maybe '02 or '03 at the Mesa Center for the Arts. I was honestly flabbergasted when he did it. I understand that they were just 'studio' musicians but still...
Since I started doing event security I can say that I've lost respect for a few bands I used to love. My 2 favorite artists, as far as how they treat the fans, are Les Claypool (Primus) and Travis Barker (Blink 182).
Most 'older' bands, such as Jethro Tull, truly appreciate their fans. Ian might have been having a 'bad day' or whatever, idk, but the driver told him the band was walking to the shuttle and he said 'go', leaving them standing on the sidewalk. I honestly stared, with my jaw on the floor, as the shuttle drove off.
Not a song, but an AWESOME superbowl ad parody that every nerd can relate to. Yes, I was, am and, will always be a nerd.

In all seriousness though; that "He created a Farmer" spot was incredible. I liked it almost as much as the "Perfect Match" GoDaddy spot.
