I buy cheap Chinese (non vaping) stuff on ebay all the time. Sometimes you get a great deal, sometimes you get what you pay for. I'm assuming Fast Tech is the same way. What are the best deals? What should you absolutely avoid? And are the batteries safe? I've heard good things about their batteries and I've heard horror stories. Is it worth it to spend the extra money on the name brand equipment rather than the clones?
When clones work, they're not as good as the original. I've encountered a few duds.
Fasttech may be cheap, but you get what you pay for. If you're not happy with it, you foot the bill and time for shipping it back to China for a refund.
Regarding FastTech, I have had quite a few purchases with them. The first time though it was a nightmare in that they sent the wrong item. I had to send photos to them via email, but they stood by their word and took care of it. The actually have a Return Center in Florida and when it's their fault they'll even send a Prepaid shipping label via email to you. Once the Florida center receives the wrong products then the Chinese warehouse ships out the correct one and the usual shipping times ensue.
About their shipping times, they have most definitely improved over the last two years. For me now it only takes roughly 12-16 days total time. Two years ago it would take 20-28 days.
I have bought mechanical MODS from them and other items. I have never bought a "bad" mechanical MOD from them, the quality was good and consistent.
Now RTAs are a different story. I have bought several of the Tayfun GT and GT T2 series from them and they all have been good from the go. I did receive as a gift from a friend a Orchid RTA replica which WAS a piece of junk! Leaked like a sieve! That went into the trash immediately.
I highly recommend that you try and purchase the batteries from places such as Ebay, only certain vendors though such as Battery Depot and such. A good online site is Illumination Supply. Good prices and fast shipping. They've changed the website name to ILLUMN now though. Fair honest pricing and great customer service!
The recommendation to read the reviews and discussions is a good idea as I use that resource too at FastTech. Just be careful and don't mention names of their competitors such as Focalecig or 3FVapes. They won't even let a reply be post with those names in the message box, but if you disguise it such as: Fo******g or 3F***s that method will work.
I also have bought some really great accessories such as a 14 hole wooden RTA stand and a tiered ejuice stand holder.
Remember as in any transaction on the internet; caveat emptor aka let the buyer beware.
