Ok, after almost a week of tank bliss, I got my extra tanks (small) with the dual 2.0 cartos. I carefully took out the included 1.5 carto and put it in my new tank. Then I followed carefully the steps that dear Snow had outlined in his video, including blocking the end and drawing a few times to pull the juice up into the batting, and also adding about 10 drops of juice to the top of the carto.

Went to take a nice hit, and blehhhhh! I got a mouthful of burned tasting nastiness! So I took it off the batt, plugged the bottom and took some more draws thinking maybe I hadn't gotten enough juice into the carto, added some more drops to the top of the carto and tried again... blehhhhhhh!

I have no doubt it is user error, but I have been doing this for almost week now with no mishaps... any ideas?

Thanks in advance! ;)

have you tried it on a different battery? i've noticed that sometimes switching batts to one that's not fresh off the charger can help.
also make sure you can see holes in the sides of the carto....you may have a dud :)
sorry i can't think of anything else...hopefully the experts (snow or morandir) will be along soon.....

Hey Jen Jen,

This is what I'd like you to try, pull the cartomizer out until you have access to the intake holes. Take a large sewing needle and just give each a small poke, push the cartomizer back up and put 15 drops in it. Now.....it may flood...may...so have your bottle ready...press on it a little put the dropper to the post connector and if droplets come just release the bottle so get sucked back in.

Once you think you got all of (if there is any) stand the tank upright and let it sit for a minute or two. Wipe off the connector and give it another shot. It should be better, maybe a slight burnt taste, but by the second draw you should be o.k.

A 2.0 ohm carto at 4.2v won't fry a carto like it would if you were at 5+v using a 1.5 ohm carto. It probably just got hot enough to make it taste a little funny. I think you just didn't have enough drops in the carto so there was a dry spot in the middle. This should ensure the carto is fully saturated and good to go.

Bless you Snow! What would I do without you? ;) That did it! Next time with a new carto I will make sure to over do it rather than under do it! You're the bomb!
