Hey guys, new vaper here.
Was an 8 cig a day habit and have been on vape since last tuesday and ive only had ONE analogue since! If it wasnt for inconsistent hits with my ce4, I wouldnt have evn had that.
Anyhow I have a mini protank 2 now. Dont get all the fuss about it....way too airy for me and its a little cumbersome to plug holes while vaping. I much rather my vision victory VT. DGMW, its not horrible just not what i expected. Maybe I need to get used to it.
I had some cola flavoured juice in it and wasnt too impressed with the flavour so I wanted to change out. I took the tank apart rinsed everything but the atomizer/head/part with the wick on it - I only used a tissue to absorb the liquid on the wick and wipe off what was on it.....gently.
After drying everything else and reassembling I grabbed my grape flavour, filled her up and put it all back together. Now it wont even fire....getting nothing from it and I dont get it. I tried it on my eGo 650 as well as my twist at various voltages....still nothing. Should I just replace the coil? I cant see how I damaged anything by just using a tissue to soak up the juice.
One thing I did notice when putting it back together, was I found it harder to tighten the ego adapter ring onto the tank than when it was new. I had to apply significant downward pressure for the threads to catch and screw. Hope that makes sense.
Any input is appreciated

You of course screwed the head back into the base all the way? If not, and you pressed as hard as you did, you might have damaged the head.

Take the drip tip off so you can set it down upside down, and take the base back off. If the head doesn't come away with the bottom cap, then that's probably what happened. Replace the head.

Also as a heads up, it's fine to soak the heads. In fact that's how you are supposed to clean them. Just make sure you give it ample time to dry. DO NOT TRY TO DRY BURN IT! It's VERY easy to burn the wicks if you do that.

Thanks man. I had posted in tye clearo forum with an update.
Youre right. I did not screw the head back into the base. I thought it was just seated there. When I took it apart, while unscrewing the base from the tank, I must have unscrewed the head from the base at the same time. So putting it back together it didnt make sense to have to screw the head back in to the base.
When it was new I was pretty excited so I couldnt remember for the life of me how I originally put it together.

After I took it apart a second time things became a lil more clear, lol.

Thats believable right?

Thanks for the help.
