Okay, I'm a newb. That's out of the way.

So I got my eGo and Vision ViVi Nova today from ALTSMOKE.com

The thing is: the vivi nova is placed in their own "branded" box...
When I asked them about it they said they put it in their own box because it looks better. It doesn't. This is their message:

"We have them in a different box just to make it look better. We put our logo on just about anything we can. = ) Thanks -Steve

With best regards,
General Questions Department"

Damn now this is purple....Oh well, colors galore.

So is this legit? Is seems like it, looks like it, but idk if it feels or vapes like it.

Please help!

That would have bothered me at 1st too. If they say it's a real vivi then it likely is. Seems like a waste of money to rebrand something so popular tho.

Some of the vendors go even further; gotvapes, for example. They don't rebrand everything, but when they do they often change the name of the product as well, making it difficult to look for a less expensive alternative.

Hi

AltSmoke rebrands everything and they are a reputable vendor. If they say it's authentic, I would tend to believe them. If it vapes fine and the price was acceptable, does it matter if it's the name brand? Bummer you don't like the box. ;)

I thought they were reputable, just making sure they didn't pull one over on the new guy. But me saying it vapes fine doesn't really matter being that I'm coming from a blu. I just want the real thing and if it's more than likely so, then my nerves are calmed.

FLANNELS OFF. ;D

EDIT: FReakin dope tho, I'm loving this compared to a crappy analogalike...wish I did research first.

Welcome to the world of vaping. The market is exploding and quality control in China is almost nonexistent. You will soon find that a little piece of mass-produced plastic knock-off may perform as well (and sometimes better) than a little piece of mass-produced plastic that has a brand name on it.

Here's a tip: Expect failure. My philosophy is to buy cheap and in bulk. I would rather buy 9 units at $3.00 each and have 3 fail, than buy 3 units at $8.00 and have 1 fail. :2c:

ETA: Except batteries.

Lots of online, and brick and mortar, vendors rebrand equipment with their own logo. My iTaste MVP that I picked up locally is rebranded as a "Helios", but it is still from iTaste. MVS also rebranded the Ego C-Twist I got from them as well as the charger and an assortment of other items. It is a normal practice, I expect that the manufacturers don't mind because their products are getting sold, one way or another, they are still making money, so they don't care what the distributor calls it or how they package it.

if there are no vape shops in your location try other websites online like vaporbeast or ecigexpress, they send to sell legit vivis and never had a problem with them. other than that its usually the fit or the build of the coils are dead give aways if they are fake or knock offs but still most of the time they will work.

good luck!

Over 80% of all Vivi Novas on store shelves are actually knock offs, not saying ALTSmoke is selling knock offs, almost all China made manufacturers will put your name on anything if you order big enough quantities.

BTW: I'd stay away from Vivi Novas, why pay around 14-15 bucks for a plastic tank that will crack with certain juices? Buy a Pro Tank same price made of glass and about as durable as a rock.

I pay 6 bucks for a real Nova and 14 for a real protank and Like the nova for the majority of my juice, I myself don't like the drafty draw of the protank.

And I have yet to see a steel tanked mini nova break, I have seen glass tanks shatter from a good drop though...
