Let's try this again since my post didn't take last time. I'm awaiting delivery of my first bottle of high octane juice and am trying to determine what else I need for mixing my own juice. I have a couple barrels (needleless syringes) Obviously that's not going to be enough, but how many do I actually need & is the needle actually a necessary element? I'd rather not risk needle sticks unnecessarily. I'm already planning to get some Lorann's, PG & VG. What else do I need? In my experience with other activities pre-made kits tend to be a waste. They generally have a bunch of unnecessary crap, be short on the things you'll actually use & cost too much. Does this hold true with ejuice as well? I guess the real question is, if you were going to build a starter kit what would be in it & where would one obtain such items??

No you don't NEED a needle that is sharp. You need: VG/PG straight, VG/PG w/nic at higher strength so you can use it for mixing, flavors, distilled water, alcohol like PGA/vodka. You can also get some excellent tobacco flavors from Seedman.com for real cheap that really kick in that "tobacco cigarette" taste and it's used by home tobacco growers and the big boys alike in a different version of course. Of course you will also need some bottles and measuring and mixing tools tools, some protection for yourself like gloves, some basic common sense.

These are just the basic things and as you go on of course you can add things some people like to sweeten them up a bit and use Stevia in liquid form. I have not used it myself so I can't say I have used all the things I listed though. Good luck and have fun don't be afraid to experiment and do the first batches of any recipe in small amounts to minimize losses. Do a quick search for the E-juice calculator that a member has whipped up, it is a great and easy tool to use.

i will say that the VG/Glycerin is pretty easy to find at almost any pharmacy like walgreens, rite aid, etc.
The PG has been a bit more of a challenge. At least here in Kentucky. I get asked 50 questions when i ask for it. Why do you need it, what are you using it for, etc.

And ive tried to come at it from a few angles as well.
Why do you need it:
Its for ketosis in livestock...... "Go ask a vet"
Im using it to make Fondont "Ask a food goods place"
Its a compounding agent "you making crack?" WTF really?
and i just straight asked. "you need a prescription" me "really? its not on the FDA controlled list" them "well we require a rx"
I finally found it at a wal-mart pharmacy, but wont be in until tomorrow.
Hopefully it will be an easy walk in walk out and done.

Yeah, I hear different stories on the PG hunt, I myself had no problems finding any at all. It was a simple matter of asking if they had it at Walgreens and when they didn't I asked if they could order it. They verified that I didn't want the powdered kind because they have that as well and they use them both for mixing compounds. There is no prescription required and it is not illegal to have, posses, or sell as a member of the general public. If you look around there are a few places that you can purchase it online but I don't think you will find it cheaper than buying it locally, I paid $12.78 for 16oz and I imagine it will take a long time for me to blow through that. Haha! I made a funny "blow through it" get it?

I wish I had been there with you when that self important ..... told you "well we require a rx" I would have said "Really? Let me talk to the manager about that little issue than shall we, since last I checked a pharmacy doesn't make the laws on what requires a rx and what does not. It sounds as if you are conspiring to deprive me of my civil rights by refusing to sell me something available to the general public with no RX required." The little power mad weasel behind the counter needs a severe thrashing. You can choose what you sell in your store but you can't impose requirements like a RX on items that don't require them in the first place. Are you going to go to a doctor to get a prescription for some Halls cough drops or for some condoms?

No needles are not necassary but handy, they have cover pretty much everything. I like 16ga needles from the tractor supply company, then I use my dremel cut off wheel and remove the tip, so it is a blunt tube. Handy when filling alot of bottles from a 60ml syringe. Plastic bottless for putting in your new ejuice, baby spoon dispensers that are 10ml for premixing flavor into. Other than that I think your in the right place for help.
And the ejuice calculator link is in my sig... :)

Well, Things went well today. I had 2 different places to order, in case one fell through.
Both transactions went smooth. So now i have 2 pints or 956ml of it.
So i should be set. Now all i need is a cheap place for unflavored nic juice.

Dan, I have to say, you are a wealth of information. Its appreciated.

I had a couple of "Ballistol Micro-tip bottles" laying around so that may work for others out there as well. Especially as an all in one tool to carry juice and refill carts from the bottom up, in one package.
I saw some henna tattoo application bottles with 18ga tips that might be a workable solution as well.
Im just getting into this, so that's about the best two cents i can give.
