I have been playing around with my new ego twist but have not been able to get that perfect vape from it. It seems that when i try to push it above 4 voltz no matter what flavor im using I just get a horrible burnt taste. I have used a clearomizer, a tank with a boge 2.0 carto and a joytech LR atty. Im still fairly new to this so I am scared in buying alot of stuff that just won't work for me. What are you guys using on your twists that allows you the ability to be able to play around with your volts without getting that burnt taste? Should i get something with higher ohms?

so far for me i start at 3.2 with a new juice and increase till it tastes right. Im using vivi novas with 2.4 ohm heads and also have some 1.5 ohm xxl cartos

You can't go wrong with this approach. Start low and increase till you have a good vape. If you taste burnt, decrease till it goes away. With carto's you run the risk of burning the filler material and that taste will not go away.

Generally you are mainly needing to worry about wattage, which directly corresponds to temperature. Power (watts) is v^2/r, so 4v^2/2ohm is about 8 watts, which could be a tad on the high side (though some people like it in the 8-10 watt range).

It also depends on how well you setup is delivering juice to the coil, not enough juice will give you a burning flavor.

There is just so much stuff that it becomes overwhelming pretty quick, and i just want to be sure i am getting the best vape possible for my equipment

no kidding, a good way to look for stuff is see what others are posting, and you notice _it looks like a lot of people use this or that_ and then trying it.

one of the problem could be very well you just have too many LR items theres no range or room to go up or down for you to see the differences with the voltage. even low a lot of the LR stuff will burn hot

just to make sure im getting this, I should get something in the 2.5-3 ohms range right?

You're using a twist, so it really doesn't matter. The concept behind VV is that You adjust the volts to your taste. You can use any ohm coil, just adjust the twist. You don't need high voltage vaping, especially if it's burning it.

Taste is very subjective to the individual that is tasting it. Some will tell you that you need lots of volts and others will tell you that you don't. Like was already said. Start low and go up .2 volts at a time. When it feels good then keep it that way. I kinda like a cooler vape as compared with others. Just don't give up. Give it time and you'll get there. When you finally find it you will fall in lust again.. Good luck.
I've got a VW device and cranked it all the way up as high as it would go. Major mistake on my part. I don't use even half of what it's capable of.

yea with a twist a good range is 2.2 to 3 it will let you go from cool to very hot and get a better idea of where theres a sweet spot.

and some of the things you got could very well be burned and thats not always an easy taste to remove.

Yeah i know up to now having messed around with the stuff i have i really like the convenience of the clearo, I just fill it up in the morning and take it all day with me. But at home I like driping, it seems that I get more vapor and taste but it is a bit of a hassle to do it on the go. this is the main reason I ask, because I want to be able to buy some clearos and attys that give me the ability to turn up the voltz on my ego without getting that burnt taste.
