So my Reo battery is charging right now for my first chance to get to use my Reo. I get home plug in the charger with the battery in. and it's not making contact on the positive side(flat positive end.) I was able to get it to contact using a pair of tweezers to fill the gap. This, however, is not an ideal solution. Any one got some ideas for household itemsthat would/do make a good battery spacer?

thanks. Hopefully i'll get some pics up tonight of my new unit.

Well, I never tried it, but I have heard of using pennies, or small metal washers in a pinch. I use rare earth magnets available in various diameters and thicknesses on line.

I've heard of using dimes. I have a vv box mod that I had the same problem with though and I couldn't get the back cover on using a dime. I actually scavenged my house and found a rather nice pair of earrings with these small metal round pieces on it, so I ended up with a great spacer minus a nice pair of earrings :( lol. Also, some of the starter ecig kits come with magnets in the lid that hold the lid down on the box. I finally realized my kit had that in the box lid so I took it out and used it eventually. Wish I had thought of that before I destroyed my earrings. hehe.

The knock outs from metal outlet boxes make decent spacers in a pinch. Pretty easy to find laying about on construction sites once the electricians start installing wiring.

The "flat positive side" to which you refer is really the negative side, which is truly flat. The positive side has a small round bump in the middle. Perhaps if you turn your battery upside down it will work. I hope this helps, and that I understood your description properly. Good luck.

i mis-spoke slightly the positive side is nearly flat. It does have the small bump, not enough to touch the slightly recessed chargers post though.
