He was very eager to answer all my questions, recommend a few starter kits, and the let me try as many flavored juices I could handle, ( they had over 60, but I was able to narrow down a few after about 10 ).
I purchased a kit, filled it with my favorite flavor, and I headed home
What is in your new kit?

What is the name of the shop?

Hanzo

Funny thing...this all kind of fell into my lap, I was not giving any thought to stop smoking or looking into an alternative, or even cutting back. Was not really even aware of vaping, other than walking by a few kiosk selling e cigs without giving any attention.

But man oh man, am I glad I have been shown the light...this forum rocks, I have learned so much.

Totally my story, i had NO intentions of quitting. My mother-in-law took me by the local head shop and had me pick out a flavor and a Vgo2 and when i filled it up and tasted it, i never put it down. i ended up finishing the last 3 smokes in the 1 pack i had open(all of wich tasted like total ...[h] ) and never opened my last pack i had the whole time.. Just gave that pack away 2 days ago, right after i ordered my Vamo. I'm not lookin back.
Congrats and keep up the good work.

The kit that was recommended was the ego twist with the vivi nova. Being all new to this, my wife and myself are very happy with the kit.

The local shop ( Hi-Tech Vapor ) was not to far from me and had good reviews from yelp, went in with the intention of just checking it out, but walked out happy with a new attitude towards smoking, clutching my new gadget. Yes, after some research on the product I purchased, I could have saved a few bucks online, but his prices were good, especially for instant gratification.

Sounds like they fixed you up with a good setup. Even with somewhat higher prices, it's good to support the local stores. I bought my first ecig from a drug store, and it was pretty crappy and overpriced. But, I don't know if I would have ever tried one if I'd had to order my first, sight unseen, from the Internet. A good vape store can give you valuable information face to face and cut out a lot of trial and error (which can save you money). Kind of worth the higher prices in many ways (as long as they aren't totally unreasonable).

Your right, if I would have just ordered a kit online, I would had no idea what I was doing. ( I do not know anybody personally who has switched over to vaping ).The guy that helped me face to face, spent a good 45 minutes with me and walked me through everything, but with the info he has giving me, I feel I can order something online with conference, but I will still support his store as a payback for the customer care he provided.

Can't stress enough that how much has changed in the last four days....I have not had an analog since trying this, as well as my wife. Many thanks to all for your support and for all the great info I have gained from this site, and to think a week ago I had no intentions or thoughts to give up my PAD habit of over 20 years, or knew that any of this even exsisted ( other than the disposables you see at the c store ). Have I really been that out of touch?

The disposables are what most people refer to as an "Ecig." The world of vaping is getting quite large quite fast. There are many different variations to what most people know as "Ecigs."
I wouldn't say you're out of touch though, just not experienced.:D

TWO WEEKS TODAY! Woohoo!

I can't believe it, it has gone by so fast, still not one analog since my first vape. I thought I would have a hard time after decades of smoking like a chimney. So glad this has kind of fallen into my lap.

Love this forum, learned so so much.

My wife ( which I thought would have even a harder time ), will be analog free two weeks on Monday, after buying her a kit of her own...she loves it.
