cigarettes. i occasionally have one and i absolutely hate it. i am simply amazed at how much better vaping is. i dont have anything fancy. i dont ever crave cigs. i dont even crave vaping that much. for me, a few months of vaping is all that is needed to go from a cig addiction to nothing. i dont need to vape anymore. i still will cuz i like it and why risk it but in no time flat vaping ended not just my cig addiction but also my enjoyment of cigs and even my need to consume nicotine altogether. of course the one thing that really works has to be labeled 'not a smoking cessation device'. no hypocrisy there. keep taking your chantix- some day, maybe in a few years you'll possibly stop smoking. probably not. :glare:

it's also ruined an early death,,,,,,it's ruined my ability to have smelly clothing, towels, furniture, cars,,,,it's ruined any hope of burn marks in my night side table,,,,,,,my coffee table,,,,,,

and it definitely ruined cigarettes for me,,,,,,my daughter still has some occasionally,,,,,I don't know how she stands it. yuck.

I have been vaping for a year and a half, and no ciggs. Well I really messed up and went on a cruse for 7 days and I still can't believe it but the only thing I forgot was the E-cigs and juice that I had packed in a nice box. Well forget about buying E-juice and stuff on the ship, so I bought a pack of Pall Malls $ 9.00 and smoked them sparingly until I got back home. Guess what? After I picked up my mod and carto and started using it again, I threw them away, did not like smoking.

Aw, Joe,,,,,,,,,well, you did what you had to do,,,,,,so you had a few? so what,,,,,,you're back on track now!!!! And I bet you won't do THAT again
I hope I will never do that again. That will be the first thing in my suit case not the last thing. LOL I remembed that I did not have them with me when I was on the way to the airport and was about 1 hr driving time away from the house so, I would have had a 2 hr turn around time so all I could do was say to myself, oh well there is nothing I can do now. I did have one mod that I was using in the car going to the airport, and 1 filled carto in my pocket, and believe me I nursed them for all the were worth. LOL I had no way to charge batteries or refill the carto's. Even if I had more E-juice I would have be fine, but all the extra stuff was in the box, extra filled carto's, batteries, charger and another mod. So I had 2-3 weeks of good stuff for a 7 day cruise.

I agree 21 days today and when I smell a cig it makes me want to throw up. Vaping now keeps me from going outside and being nosey, forgetting to feed the outside feral cats, remembering to feed the wild birds , all the reasons I use to make up so that I could go outside and smoke! I dont miss it I just hope the cats and birds can forgive me :) Have a great day my fellow Vapers!

Loving this thread so far. Which brings me to the big thing that vaping has ruined for me: People who are down on vaping. OK, not that it was ever a pleasure, but you know. Now I've got experience to know it's all paranoid, raving nonsense.

I didn't put down the cigs the day I got my PV, but I'm kind of glad I didn't. What I experienced over the course of 4 weeks as I vaped and smoked was the gradual return of my taste buds (I was down to 2-3 a day) combined with the delicious sensation of vaping. In week 1 I was still wholeheartedly convinced I needed my morning cigarette. By week 2 I was cringing a little as I smoked. Week 3: can't finish it. Week 4: cigs are all gone, brief panic. Week 4 + 1 day: SO over it and happily vaping. Now when I get a bit of an urge for a smoke that memory of the plastic-y chemical film on my mouth is all I need to keep it at bay.

And on top of this, I managed to QUIT SMOKING during one of the most aggravating, physically demanding and emotionally trying work projects I have ever experienced. I am astounded. These things are freaking amazing. Seriously.

yeah I have to agree. as long as I'm vaping, I can't finish a cigarette. I can start one, but I rarely get past 2 drags and when I do, I spit and sputter because they taste like garbage. A lot of people here think they HAVE to continue smoking with vaping. Not true. Not true at all. They think "Oh, well I've seriously cut down on smoking but I still need my cigarettes because I'm addicted to more than just nicotine, I'm addicted to whole tobacco alkaloids, also known as WTA ....Well, let me be the one to say... Screw that! I've quit 3 separate times and each time, I learned that I can stop smoking in 1 day, continue with vaping, and never once feel sick or depressed/anxiety/uneasy from withdrawal. The idea that you need WTA juices or that you need to continue supplementing your vaping with a cigarette every now and then, to ward off WTA withdrawal, is BS to me. Bull. I feel better as soon as I stop smoking and start vaping, and it only gets better and better the longer I stay away from smoking. The 1st few days of vaping, I'm wheezy, because the PG/VG breaks up the tar in my lungs maybe, but thats bout' it! :)

The only thing vaping might have ruined for me is parties... Which, I don't go to anymore these days anyway. I'm a young guy. I'm 21 years young... If I were still a party animal I'd probably miss having a lighter for the cute girl looking for one... And I'd probably feel weird whipping out my Bolt in the middle of a beer pong game with 15 eyes staring at me... But, I don't really have to worry about that and if I should go to a party, at least I have my eGo 400mAh that fits in the palm of my hand.

But yeh, I don't miss much. I might miss the feeling of knowing I'm doing something wrong more than anything else.. and thats not a particularly hard thing to dismiss, and NOT miss.

Vaping has ruined two things for me: The taste of orange soda, and the taste of beer. They both taste really flat to me now. However, that is a small price to pay for being able to: Breathe better, being able to smell, food tasting better, if I get sick, it won't linger for weeks, my car and apartment doesn't reek of smoke smell..etc.
