What voltage do you vape at?

Using my Protank 3, I vape at about 4-5V which produces about 15W at 5V.

But I heard if you vape at more than 3.3V you can get Formaldehyde in your ecig!

So I was wondering what voltage other people did to ease my mind that I am not vaping on a too high voltage!

I mean... For example some people vape at super high watts to produce more vapour, like... Some people vape at 30W+ which must be about 10V!

5v to 5.5v

I don't believe it can be set a certain level of power, I believe it is more of a temperature point. 5.5v is very different on my STm than if you tried to vape 5.5v on your PT3.

Also, the junk science that people see regarding 3.7v+ being dangerous was these "researchers" using CE4/5's at like 5v, which is ridiculous. Those may not be exact stats, but they are in the ballpark.

Please look up ohms law and play around with the numbers to see what you're messing with. For example, if I use 4.5 volts on my setup I'll be pushing 40 watts. The variable you're missing the resistance of the coil. Also, for formaldehyde to show up in vapor you need to actually be burning something. If your setup tastes fine, most likely there's not any formaldehyde.

From what i understand formaldehyde being released is not dependent on the power (watts/volts) used but on how hot your coil gets. A lot of things can affect how hot your coil gets such as guage of wire used, power given to the coil, airflow and how well the wick is saturated.
You can usually tell when you are running too hot because you will get dry hits/burnt taste.

In my rda i use a single .8 ohm twisted 28 guage coil at 25 watts. Its a warm vape but not too warm and I never get dry hits as long as I make sure my wicks are always well saturated.

If your still worried you could get a temp control mod like the DNA-40 and you will not need to worry about running too hot.

Didn't you post a thread about formaldehyde yesterday?
That was a different question, now I am asking what voltage people vape at! I just thought I would add that piece of info in as I feel that I am getting formaldehyde by vaping at 5V, silly I know... But I just want to be reassured that I am being safe when vaping!

Well every time formaldehyde is brought up you usually get the same conversations. Like everyone said yesterday if you're vaping in a way that produces it you will know it

And the voltage doesn't tell you much alone. It just depends on the resistance you're putting the voltage through. I don't know what can be said to reassure you that wasn't said yesterday. Like we already said the "test " that showed formaldehyde being released were using equipment in a way that vapers don't actually do. I think it's a disservice to the industry to keep bringing up those bogus" test"

I mean... About a month ago I started on the CE5 Clearomizers like most people do, would you say that having 5V on a protank 3 on a 1.6ohm coil is ok then?
