Disposable cig-alikes we found at Big Lots, then V2 Cigs (cig-alikes) with pre-filled cartos, then the V2s with clearos and cartos we filled, then I got ego-C Twists with a Vivi Nova, got a T3 and some "stardust" clearos, then carto-tanks, then I got an SVD and stuck with carto-tanks and started rebuilding RDAs, now I have an MVP 2 and the SVD and stick to carto-tanks and RDAs.

I spent a few disappointing years with the cheap cig-a-likes until I started vaping; that journey began with two Ego C-twists and two Kanger ProTank 2's.

From there it was a bunch of different tanks - three different types of ViviNovas, AnyVape Davides, Aspire BDC's, and a couple of rebuildables starting with an RSST and a SmokTech Scar.

Started dabbling with mechs and more rebuildables, and a few different mods.

I started with Vapor4Life equipment in late 2009 with pre-filled cartos - they got me off of cigarettes. I then decided to save some dough by filling my own cartos - after a while, I began to get tired of this. About 6 or 7 months later, I heard about a bottom-fed mod, the WetBox - it seemed like the perfect solution for me. I bought one, and despite its many flaws (leaky, cheap plastic construction, etc.), I was sold on the concept. In late 2010, I got wind of a new bottom-fed mod from REO, milled from aircraft aluminum, and with a feed system that didn't leak. I had to have one, and managed to get a Mini from the first run, and also got a Grand a couple months later when they became available. I've been a REO user ever since. On the REO's, I started out with 306 atty's (they worked better for me than cartos at the time), then moved to shorty cartos, and then to RBA's when they became available, such as the Chalice, ERA and REOmizer. My old Grand and a REOmizer RM2 are my all-day vape.

    1. Started with a 510 "Yetti" kit from a smoke shop. 2 510 batteries, 2 atomizers.
    2. Quit, then came back. Yetti kit was inoperable. Bought new 510 kit.
    3. Got tired of charging. Bought a chinese made black Lavatube VV, first time with VV!
    4. Got bored of VV. Bought a Smoktech Anodized Bolt. Low res cartomizers were just coming out!
I was unaware of low res cartos at the time, so the anodized bolt went largely unused.
(I couldn't understand why the heck anyone would use mech mods at this point)

    5. MY LAVATUBE BROKE! Bought my most used mod to date, my Provari Mini!
    6. Loved my Provari, but wanted to try something new. Bought Smoktech Telescope.
(Low Res was gaining in popularity. Just started catching my attention. Bought some with 2 carto tanks)

    7. Had saved up a ton of money + got my tax return. Ordered Silver Bullet, Kick, 2 volt batteries and a Volt USB charger & Reo Mini!!!
(Loved the Reo Mini with Low Res cartos, but wanted to get a bottom fed rebuildable for it!)
(Silver Bullet became a backup for my Provari. Enjoyed using it with the Kick. Didn't love the green color lol)
(This is the period that my BOLT got a HUUUGE spike in use.
The Kick was GREAT in the bolt with an 18350 battery at the Bolt's 18500 size! I still love it to this day!)
(The Volts saw limited use. I still probably haven't used them more than 15 separate days. But I ordered them to specifically use them for weddings/funerals/wakes/parties/etc. So thats why. They do see use when I go to funerals/wakes & they will see use for my cousin's wedding)

I ordered 3-4 Vivi Nova 3.5ml tanks around this time & completely kicked cartomizers to the curb immediately!
Was determined to become self-efficient. Did NOT want to have to keep buying expensive cartomizers.

    8. Ordered mesh, silica/wire, A7 attys, AgaT, and some regular old RDAs from DiscountVapers & GotVapes!!!
(Enjoyed them all thoroughly. LOVED the A7 minis on the reo, but they were too big, which was dangerous!)
(Ended up not using the Reo for long periods due to the A7's base being too large to use them w/out adaptor)
(Started to really enjoy using all of the mods I had bought up to that point. Switched back and forth between them all) Still using Vivi Novas pretty-much exclusively. Didn't like rebuilding.

    9. Ordered Evic as backup to my Provari, and for a mod I could use + charge in the car on long trips!! Also ordered a Janty Kuwako for a pipe-like mod finally. Really enjoyed it.
(Really liked everything I could do with the evic, just didn't like how large it was compared to pro-mini)
(Also didn't like the fact that it had a weird tapered top instead of a flat top)

(Began really getting into rebuilding at this point. Shoved all Vivi Novas in a drawer)

    10. Finally, I ordered my ST: Natural, which, I love... To this day. I LOVE my Natty!

(Had Not used anything besides Rebuildable Dripping Attys up until yesterday, when I pulled out a Vivi Nova that had some juice in it, since the RDA I was using began getting gunked up. So I am completely over anything that isn't a snap to rebuild at this point. Rebuilding is the only way to go for me. & no more silica or mesh either. I only use cotton, and I'll probably ONLY-ever use cotton from now on)

    11. Sold Reo Mini & bought my Reo GRAND!!! It competes with my Provari mini for my favorite mod of the lot. My two A7 atomizers DO fit inside of the Reo Grand's drip well, and BOY, let me tell you, its 1 of the best vapes you could buy! The two A7 minis see more use than any other RDAs in my stock.

    12. Ordering an Nzonic clone tonight. Will be the last mod I buy for 3 months. Have made a contract with myself to only even think about buying another mod every 3 months, no sooner. Done lusting after bottom coil clearomizers or Novas. DONE lusting after Genesis tanks. All I need/want for heads is RDAs. CHEAP RDAs. DONE lusting after new mods. I am finished. I have two VV, I have my Reo, and now all I'll ever buy is another Vari, another Reo, new rebuildables, or new mech mods.

& now I love all of my mods & I use them all.
(of course I ordered other things. This whole journey has cost me well over $1k & counting. For someone that made around 2k a year each year for the last 5 years, thats a whole lot of money. But everything I've learned along the way was worth it. I know what I like/need & no more experimenting is needed)

I started with an ego-c twist that I realized was putting out 5.5v no matter what the voltage was set at. Then I went to a standard ego battery, then got an MVP2 then an itaste vv v3. That's where I'm at now. Before I figured out the twist was no good I really didn't understand the hype about variable voltage because it made no difference what setting it was on. Now I know!

Started with a M410, moved up to 801 penstyle, then to an eGo, using attys and carts on all of them, tried a RoughStack and ProVape PV-1 for longer battery life and tried various cartos, early mini-clearos, and home built tanks (retail tanks were not widely available).

Got the modding bug, and moved up to various box mods, still have many of them. Then tried modding using NiMN and NiZN batteries for added voltage capabilities. Moved on to a few VV mods which made adjustments easier. Wanted a Genesis topper but didn't own a machine shop so that was put off for the future.

My latest purchase was a K-100 for $23, and it's like going back to the beginning in some ways. It's a fixed voltage and I need to pay attention to what resistance coil I use, very much like my early 801, eGo and simple mods. I've moved up to RDA and RBA, got my Genesis and some Vivi-Nova tanks. I build my own coils to whatever resistance I want so the VV/VW is nice but unnecessary in most cases, so much better than relying on the manufacturer to hit the ohms perfectly. DIY my own juice, and make a new purchase every 3-6 months if the reviews on something are very good, or I want to try some new tech....:vapor:

    Hardware wise....
Vapor4Life XL automatic batteries with their prefilled cartos
Madvapes Mini Vapestack (pair of them... they were similar to the Roughstack they sell now) with CE2 XL cartos
GLV2 Mini (pair of them, recently sold on to a coworker... still use the other one daily) first with the CE2, briefly with MAP tanks and then mostly with LR901 bridgeless cisco attys. Recently switched to RDAs (I have a Budzworx Hornet on my GLV now)
Touchwood Mini with an IGO-S rigged sub ohm and dual coiled... wearing a fancy brass replacement cap.

    Juice wise...
I spent 3-4 months trying LOTS of flavors, settled on Cinnamon as my all day / everyday... tried LOTS of venders and landed on Sweet-Vapes Organic Sweet Cinnamon over 2.5 years ago and vaped it exclusively until earlier this winter when I found Virgin Vapor's Hummingbird Fuel. I keep the Touchwood with the Hummingbird fuel and the GLV with the cinnamon.

    Future wise...
I'm looking to buy a Chimera tube mod (copper, brass and stainless mix... real classy looking) from 1700 Fabricators when it comes out. Also wouldn't mind an 18350 version of the GLV if it gets made... and/or another Touchwood :)
I'm also looking to find a good Bourbon or Honey Bourbon juice... gonna have Virgin Vapor give it a try next time I order.
