what wattage should I be running my alien at?

it's an alien 220. I am currently using a baby-2 coil best wattage 55 - 65. I have mine set at 50w. I am new to vaping and have been at it for 3 weeks and I have been through5 different coils working on a 6th. I quit smoking 2 months ago.

I saw an article that said newbs tend to overpower their coils and ruin them. I think I might be doing that. and that's why I am asking. I tend to stay in the best watts range or under it.

If the coils says best at 55 - 65, you should be fine at 50 watts if you did a good job priming it. That is putting drops on the cotton, taking a few primer puffs, and started it at a lower wattage then gradually increasing the watts. I also like to let mine soak in a filled tank for a while before firing it the first time.

I have 2 of those in front of me, both with the T4 coils, one at 0.173 ohms and the other at 0.152 ohms and they are currently being fired at 65 and 56 watts respectively. The power setting depends on what you like and nothing more. Expect it to change from one juice to the next. Even your tastes will change it from one day to the next. If you like what your getting in terms of cloud & taste then you are doing it right.

Stopped back and re-read your post this morning when I am hopefully a little more awake.

If you are only using this one tank, getting about 4 days out of a coil is not that bad especially if you are using a juice on the sweet side. Still a lot cheaper then a pack of smokes a day! Not to worry!

Welcome and glad you joined. It takes awhile for all the variables to sink in, you are asking the right questions.

You might find dessert juices vape better at higher wattage and fruits at lower. One big factor is how hot the vape is, at least for me.

a pack a smokes here is $4.50 and one coil head thing here costs 7 bucks. that's if I buy at the local vape shop. I started vaping and now cigarettes taste gross. nothing much changed they tasted gross before. the point is can't smoke them anymore.
